I've been wanting and meaning to write up some thoughts that have occurred to me regarding Show over the past couple of days. The problem is, when the thoughts are clear and enumerated in my head, I'm too busy stop and write them, and when I have the time to write them, they're back to being muddled.

But we'll give it a try anyway. )

I think that's it. I'm still adjusting to the time change, and my body is ready to go to bed now.

Geo and I are getting ready to celebrate our 15th anniversary on Thursday. We'll be spending the evening with the Family--the Addams Family, of course--at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre. We are so looking forward to it.

I warned you I'd be chewing on this ep all week. And it's only Monday. (Really, I think they should show two eps a week, simply so my brain doesn't overprocess things.)

More rambly babbly to start the work week )

As we're approaching the beginning of S6, I'm not really looking for long, drawn out discussion here, just floating something that occurred to me recently. (Comments of course are welcome. It's just that spirited debate probably won't be forthcoming).

ETA: Some of my post got lost, it appears. *sigh* Re-created to add.

I watched TMatEotB this morning, and a couple things of interest struck me, in light of S5.

Let's see if I can put them coherently.

Let the babbling commence. )

I just watched most (all?) of the SPN ComiCon panel (minus vids shown at the panel). Whoever told me there was nothing uber-spoilery is correct. And I gotta say, I'm excited for the new season. Here are a few comments:

Cut for the uber-spoilerphobes )

I've got a scene--not even a full-fledged fic, just a scene--that's been kicking around inside my head for quite a while. I know it will be Jossed come the beginning of the season, but I'm wondering if I should at least work it out and get it written down before then. Hm . . .

We should be getting our B:UtRH disc tomorrow (yes, Geo went ahead and ordered it). And I think the new SPN tie-in novel is due out next month. Oh! And Carl Hiaasen's new book comes out tomorrow, too. So there's plenty to keep me busy until Sept. 24, right? Right?

First, Provenance is an excellent episode. I'm always delighted with the brother banter and the smooth criminals and the creepy and the guest star of that ep. Good, good stuff.

As I said, I finished up S1 yesterday it got me thinking )

More random musings, behind the cut so's you can skip it by if you're not interested.

The download was up early today, and I re-watched the end of the ep the rest behind the cut )

I neglected to write yesterday to wish those who observe, a blessed Maundy Thursday, so I shan't forget today, to wish a blessed Good Friday.

Passover began earlier this week, and I always like it when Passover and Easter fall close together on the calendar. It makes far more sense to me to base the timing of Easter around the timing of Passover, since the Last Supper was a Passover seder/feast. I realized the other day that Easter seems to be sneaking up on me somewhat because we haven't taken the time to watch The Ten Commandments (or Prince of Egypt). Every year I tell George we should watch The Passion of the Christ, and every year I . . . can't bring myself to do so. The movie is so intense and hits on such a level . . .

Our dress rehearsal went well on Wednesday. And I don't 100% know where it came from, but I started crying (in an appropriate spot), and it got a little messy. We're doing a little bit of a multimedia thing and using clips of the crucifixion from various movies (one of my favorite life of Jesus movies being The Visual Bible's 'Matthew'), and watching them, there are times I just can't hide my reaction.

I'd planned to do my SPN review, but it feels kind of odd to be delving into that when my mind is elsewhere.

yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to the end. ~ Eccl. 3:11

You will be with child and give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David, and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever; his kingdom will never end. ~ Luke 1:31-32

But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid; for see--I am bringing you good news of great joy for all the people: to you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is the Messiah, the Lord." ~ Luke 2:10-11

Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, "Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace among those whom he favors." ~ Luke 2:13-14

And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth. ~ John 1:14 (NAS)

Merry Christmas!

I've been thinking a lot the past day or so about Jensen and Danneel's engagement. The news is particularly touching for me because it comes at a very apropos time. You see, Geo and I will be celebrating our 14th anniversary tomorrow. I write this as I wait for him to get home from his week-long trip to St. Louis.

Well wishes for the happy couple )
