Life, Fannishness, and Thespic Infatuation

I still love "Hollywood Babylon."

That is all.

This is another ep (or combo of eps, as the case may be) that has had umpteen bajillion things written about it, and I'm sure I couldn't really say anything that hasn't already been said. It's a great season-ender and breaks my heart every freakin' time.

All righty. An end-of-the-season round-up before we get to a triumvirate of excellent eps and major mytharc developments.

I wrote about Roadkill and Heart last year. Nothing new or particularly enlightening struck me, but I do want to say that I really enjoy the outsider POV of "Roadkill." And I think they were watching Sixth Sense when they wrote it, but I like the twist it gave us, and then gave us the condensed version of the ep from the Winchester POV. Ms. Raelle Tucker, you are missed.

"Heart" provides us with one of the scenes I analyzed in depth in this post. I think everyone reading it will appreciate the scholarship and attention to detail that went into that particular meta.

Apparently, there was a string of S2 eps that I had stuff to say about last year, 'cause lookee, here's my entry on "Houses" from last year. This year . . .

( Dude, I'm not enabling your sick habit. )

I wrote a little bit about "Crossroad Blues" last year, and I really don't have too much else to say. ( At least, not that I can write without making my brain mushy. )

( I wish we had a deck of cards or a foosball table or something. )

( He gave me a code word: Funkytown. )

So, this afternoon's after work viewing was "Bloodlust." One or two interesting things popped out, in light of later events.

( He's the only one allowed to call me that. )

Looking back from S4? This ep takes on a whole new significance, I think.
