Hey, all.

I know a few of you on my f-list remember TS (The Sentinel, 1996 TV show, starring Richard Burgi, Garrett Maggart, and Bruce A. Young). I was really active in the fandom back in the day, and I was able to collect several copies of the drafts of various episode scripts. After a chaotic weekend in the basement, I've decided that it's time to part with these scripts. We need the room, and with a little one in the family now, and my working almost zero hours at my job (I'm more of a substitute house manager now, only working 1-3 days a month), every extra penny helps.

If anyone here is interested in seeing a list of the scripts and prices, or knows of anyone who might be interested, or knows of any communities this announcement could be posted to, please let me know. I don't imagine the fandom is as active as it used to be, since only one season was ever made available on DVD, and to my knowledge, the show is not gaining new fans with re-runs in syndication. Still, there might be someone who's interested, and any boost of this signal is much appreciated.

Thanks!

Tell me you want to play and I'll pick up to three of your fandoms. Then update your journal and answer the following questions:

1. What got you into this fandom in the first place?
2. Do you think you'll stay in this fandom or eventually move on?
3. Favorite episodes/books/movies, etc?
4. Do you participate in this fandom (fanfiction, graphics, discussions)?
5. Do you think more people should get into this fandom?

My life in fandom: Hercules, Numb3rs, Supernatural )

Upon re-watching TS, I've discovered a couple of things . . .

1. Jensen Ackles has apparently ruined me for my previous huge, resource-consuming actor crush.

2. I still find Garett Maggart's hands to be amazingly beautiful.

That is all.

AH-HA!!!!!

Okay, gang. Everyone who's been telling me all the shows I should know Sarah Drew from? You know, the girl who played Nora on SPN on Thursday?

You're all wrong.

I know her from Wonderfalls.

And if you don't know what Wonderfalls is, you don't know what you're missing. Go. Now. Rent from 'Netflix. Seriously. Especially if you're a Pushing Daisies fan, because it's the same creator.

She was also on an episode of Numb3rs called "Angels and Devils." So that's where I've seen her most recently.

(Hey, Izhi? Remind me what that ep was about?)

If there's ever any question as to where I get my fannishness . . .

Traveled to DC yesterday without incident. It wasn't nearly as overwhelming as I anticipated. Traffic was not bad (big city traffic often freaks me out), and I apparently chose a good day to go, as it was a lot of tourist--some of whom asked me for help and directions--rather than Beltway business people who might run me over because I'm not going fast enough. And I was able to give it. Go me! (If I can navigate LAX, a metro station should be a piece of cake, right? Right.)

Met up with [livejournal.com profile] kimmer1227 and [livejournal.com profile] saberivojo and had lunch at Johnny Rocket's and talked fannish stuff.

Took a walk, saw three different wedding parties (the weather was gorgeous).

Then the three of us met [livejournal.com profile] smalltwndreamer as she got off her train, got the three of them checked into their hotel, and talked fannish stuff.

Went out to dinner at the Irish restaurant attached to the hotel. Had a FANTASTIC Irish coffee. Talked fannish stuff.

Went back to the room, watched "Monster Movie," talked fannish stuff.

Got on the metro and drove home without incident (other than being concerned I took a wrong exit, but I'd just taken a different exit onto the same highway.)

Lots of fun, and now that I know what to anticipate should I ever do that again, I think I'll be good to go. Ladies?

P.S. When did he get old enough to have a kid going into college?

So, SPN fans know that today is the release day for S3 on DVD.

In Sunday's ads, BestBuy had the set listed with a bonus: a limited number (5 per store, though Geo said it was at least 5 per store) were going to be packaged with a die cast model of the Impala (a 2-door model, per what's out there, 'cause I've looked, and 4-door models are not to be had). The closest BestBuy to us is in C'ville, an hour away.

It so happens that I had an appointment in C'ville today. And Geo pointed out that I could stop by BestBuy while I was down there.

Which I did.

And snagged the last set on the shelf (at least, the last set I saw).

I am a geek because:

1) I made the effort to do this rather than just get a set without the car at our own Target here in town or something.
2) This is the highlight of the first half of my week.
3) I placed above mentioned DVD set in one of our insulated bags in the trunk of the car, knowing that I didn't know how long my appointment would take.
4) I called [livejournal.com profile] izhilzha to share my find.

I will point out, however, that I come by my fannishness honestly. Eventually, I'll get around to telling you about it.
