Supernatural is up for a couple of People's Choice Awards. The Js would like you to vote:
As soon as they said they weren't going to do anything "gimmicky," I was expecting something.
I was not expecting that.
(However, it's in keeping with the theme of Jason Mann's recent video. I . . . have no comment.)
( And now, I wax analytical )

Why Jensen should win an Emmy
Oct. 22nd, 2011 08:34 amWe all know Jensen is a fantastic actor. We all know he can play opposite just about anyone, even himself. We all know he can dig deep and bring out emotions so subtly that it makes us weep. Or laugh. Or whatever. He can deliver three pages of dialogue by moving nothing but his left ear.
( Are you paying attention, Emmy? )

Questions for the boys . . .
Sep. 27th, 2011 11:27 am. . . and I kinda love their answers.
I particularly love Jensen's answers, because he can't confine himself to A or B any better than I can, it seems.
Q: Vampires or werewolves?
J: Jell-o.
Me: Ha!
Q: Scotch or beer?
J: Depends on what mood I'm in.
Me: That sounds like an answer I'd give.
And other such questions that I won't elaborate on.
It also piques my interest as to the episode entitled "Slash Fiction." (I know no spoilers, but my first reaction is that it's something akin to a Stephen King-esque author's work coming to life.)

Okay, seriously?
Sep. 21st, 2011 10:57 amThis romance novel cover recently came to my attention. The gent looks uncannily familiar, yes? It must be Jason Eckles.
"It Happened One Bite." Seriously?
But that's not what's making me laugh the most or roll my eyes the hardest. No, that would be the "product description," the summary of the book.
You see, I was rather an avid reader of Silhouette and Harlequin romance novels when I was in junior high. But it didn't take long for the redundancy and repetitiveness to make the genre . . . well . . . boring. Change the setting, plug in new names, rehash the same basic character dynamic, there ya go.
It's just so . . . well . . . comical.
I'd kinda sorta love to hear what Jensen would have to say about being the model for the leading man vamp in a romance novel. Considering the comments he's made about Twilight, and wanting the Winchesters to gank the entire cast of characters of True Blood and The Vampire Diaries, I can't help but think he might have some delightful snark for this particular sitch.
So . . . I don't know whether to grab for the insulin for this or not. Do they even make paranormal-compatible insulin for such things?

In a nutshell . . .
Aug. 4th, 2010 11:00 amQuite possibly the best tongue-in-cheek description of B:UtRH I've read. Found in the comments of the review here.
So, it's Captain Pike and Dr. Horrible battling Bender and Lucius Malfoy for the soul of Dean Winchester. AWESOME
This? I want to see. Bwah!

What does it say?
Jul. 23rd, 2010 08:14 pmI am both impressed and amused that the artist of this cartoon is so familiar with fan culture.
( It's both hilarious and disturbing, because it's true )

The husband, he cracks me up
Jul. 23rd, 2010 09:58 amGeo walked through the room, saw that I had the Amazon page for B:UtRH up. He asked if I'd ordered it yet. I said no, not yet. "Well go ahead and order it! I want to see it!" he says. "You don't want to wait until August for the Netflix?" asks I. "No!" says he.
Bwah!
So . . . Jensen or no, I guess either he's seen enough about it or I've talked enough about it that he wants to see it.
He cracks me up.

I'm famous . . .
Jul. 9th, 2010 09:39 amSo apparently the new programming catalogue at my old stomping grounds, the PAC, is sporting on its cover a picture of me in my role as Mrs. Peachum in The Threepenny Opera. I assume this is the same production still that is gracing the wall of the theatre department. ETA: No! It's not! I don't know if I've ever seen the pic before. I'll have to see if I can get a copy of the program. /ETA
I'm amused that that is apparently how I'm remembered at the PAC--as an angry, drunken, manipulative (yet comedic) shrew.
I should post some of my theatrical pics.

You know? I was feeling really blah this morning. I was going to post about it. I still might.
And then girlyghoul ( sent me this )
In other news, there's news (originating from an interview in a Brazilian mag, so translation is involved, fwiw) that Jensen will be directing an episode next season. If it's true, that? Would be all kinds of awesome.

Ready for the bonfires?

Geo and I are heading to Ohio, so if I'm incommunicado (and late on my long and rambly commentary), that's why.
I'll be watching SPN with my mom this week. Should be fun!
