I've been reading through my entries for the past couple of months, and I'm ashamed at how many comments I've failed to reply to.

Please be assured that I read and appreciate every one.

And many, many thanks for all the congrats on the adoption approval. We're currently working on our profile album, and the continuing quest to line of financing . . . continues.

I'm also aware that I still need to write me long and rambly of "Time After Time." There is much to love about the episode, and it seems something of a daunting task to go through it with nothing but squee that will no doubt render unintelligible anything intelligible I might have to say.

So, my apologies dear f-list and readers. I shall try to do better in expressing my appreciation.

We've just submitted our formal application.

Continued prayers and humming are much appreciated.

Now I have to go highlight my Our Town script. Yeah, good luck with concentrating on that.

The last time I did a big production (The Threepenny Opera), I learned that I could prepare for a play in a month.

I'll now find out whether or not I can do two plays at once.

I've been cast as Mrs. Gibbs in an upcoming community production of Our Town. I don't think I've ever done a three-act play before.

Yikes!

Also, spent a good part of the weekend introducing my mom and dad to H50. (They watch Castle on Mondays.)

Geo's b-day was Wednesday. Since it was mid-week, our personal celebration was very low-key.

Then last night, Geo's work screened Streets of Fire*, one of Geo's favorite '80s films. He introduced the movie, and for the pre-show, he put together 45 minutes of '80s music videos. What fun!

Coconut cake is one of Geo's favorites, so today I made--totally from scratch--homemade coconut cake. Even the shredded coconut is from scratch, which was an interesting experience.

I've never done anything quite like this, and I think it turned out pretty good.

It's a three-layer cake, the cake is a butter cake batter, the frosting is a marshmallow creme, and the coconut is fresh shredded.

I'll get back to you on the the flavor. I think it's going to be fantastic!

*More on that later.
