In other news, there's news (originating from an interview in a Brazilian mag, so translation is involved, fwiw) that Jensen will be directing an episode next season. If it's true, that? Would be all kinds of awesome.

That's adorable!

I saw the bit about his directing an episode, yesterday. I would *guess* it's true. Jared did say that Jensen had been spending all his spare time hanging out with the DP and other crew members, learning all he could. I imagine he thought, "Final season, better learn all I can while I've got the chance." And then...new season! New opportunities. I'm so glad for him - and *very* curious to see what his directorial style will be.

That same interview had a kind of...I guess you'd say "situational" spoiler for S6. Right now I'm thinking I like it. If they don't mess it up.

I started to read the spoiler, but backed out after skimming the first line. The general circumstances are something I'd considered independent of the spoiler, so I'm not too horribly surprised. The general plot device leaves a lot of room to maneuver, so I'm not adverse to it.

Re: Jensen's directing . . . I hadn't heard Jared say that, but oh, yes. You can tell from the bts pics of Jensen with the DP view finder thingy (don't you love my technical knowledge?), and didn't Jared get Jensen one of his own? And the way Jensen talks about Serge and his lighting concepts. Oh, yeah. Jensen is very interested in the process of telling a story.

I also have to smirk a little bit. If Jensen is going to be directing an episode, that means his role will be diminished for two or three episodes. Which means more screen time for Sam (or whatever characters they use to fill in next season).

Doesn't mean Jensen won't show up, though. I mean, wow. He's already had to essentially direct himself twice during the course of the series, yeah?

Anyway, this is kind of exciting. I hope it's true.

If they do as I'm hoping, and bring in some good, meaty supporting characters for next year, I won't mind Dean being in the background somewhat for a couple of episodes. (Please, no Ghostfacers.) I always miss him - I thought a lot of AHBL Part 1 was tedious mostly because he wasn't in it all that much - but I can amuse myself figuring out his directorial choices.

You've seen the latest round of pictures from NYC, yes? (There are three sets altogether.) I'm even finding the comments amusing. (She's ugly. He's ugly. Hate their clothes. Hate their hair. Why doesn't he take his sunglasses off - is he hiding something? Is he stuck up? She's a paparazzi ho. He's a paparazzi ho. He's no fun now that he's not making kissy faces with Jared. Etc. Etc.)

It must be fun to be in show biz, eh?

I've seen the set that you posted the link to yesterday (or the day before?), but I don't think I've seen three sets.

Random fans who always have to give their opinion in a comment thread kinda drive me nuts. I thought Danneel looked really good in those pictures, because she wasn't all glammed up. She's a beautiful girl, no doubt, but when she's all glammed? There's nothing special about her looks. Seriously. I don't think I'd recognize her out of context.

As far as the "he's no fun . . ." blah blah blah. Gee, gang, he and Jared haven't done that since they outgrew the frat boy behavior a couple years ago.

ETA: Okay, I found the pics. And I actually kinda like Danneel's top. It looks to me like they dress like normal people. As far as my love of Jensen is concerned, that's one of the things I like about him.

And I think Jensen directing could be a good thing. I don't know the man or anything about the man (other than he fits mighty nicely in a pair of denims) But from what I've heard, he'd probably be a creative and conscienious director. He seems to love his craft and care about details, so this could be good.

JARED: It matches the lollypop you're holding.
JENSEN: Yes, I realize. But I'm fighting a Swamp Monster in this scene, correct?

And if it was Misha directing. Well, I don't know the man, and don't know anything about him (other than he fits mighty nicely in a pair of trousers) But from what I've heard, I would expect the soundtrak to be "BOM CHICKA BOW BOW! BOM CHICKA BOW BOW!"
