Page 75 of the May 31, 2010 issue of People magazine carried the following announcement:




Jensen looks so young!

I made the comment to Geo that it kind of looked like a soap opera wedding.* He said, "Yeah, it does," and in his theatrical announcer voice entoned, "Bolt and Chelsea."

It all just makes me smile. Hee!

*Do not take that the wrong way. I've had friends whose wedding ceremonies I've said "could fit between commercial breaks." (My wedding, otoh, was more like something out of The Godfather. Except, you know, we're not Italian and we're not Catholic.) I'm sure the Ackles' day was very special and beautiful and personal and included things that were special to them.

So, um, was there an official piccie of J&G and I missed it?

Exactly. That's why I made the soap opera comment.

The man just does not age. (Well, he does; he's grown much more mature. But he can take the years off like that. *snaps fingers*) My mom would say it's his cheekbones. Also? I think it's the way he's styled his hair.

Nope, no "official" picture of J&G. I imagine People (in its infinite wisdom) didn't consider them worthy of column space.

Yes, he's not aging he's maturing. I don't know what it is, maybe all of what was mentioned but it's the fact - he can looks his age (as he does playing Dean) or easily takes off a dozen of years. And i'm even envy of him i'm just happy for him.

That is why, when they were talking about "After School Special" I said they didn't need to cast a young Dean - just give Jensen a shave and change his make-up.

Delurking to say thanks for posting this picture! OMG, now I understand why he did his hair that way - literally takes 10 years off him. He looks 22 here, not 32. He's going to be stunning when he's 90. :D

I'm so happy they released an "official" photo for the press. Sweet!

Doesn't he look fantastic? I love that he looks like Jensen. (Which probably sounds silly, but I think you know what I mean.)

When I first saw it, someone said something that made me think "classic Hollywood." So I can see that, too.

But, yeah, the longer, parted hair definitely makes him look much younger.

And yay for official photo! I have a feeling that there won't be any semi-official photos like there were for Jared.

When I saw his hair my first thought was of a young boy with his Sunday church hair.. all spit and polish. He just looks adorable!

Hee! Indeed. I think my first thought was, "Bzuh?" followed by "Hm . . . classic Hollywood, maybe?"

I love that they look like any other newly married couple. No particular "glitz" or "glamour." Just a beautiful bride and a handsome groom on their special day.
