DOES THIS MEAN I GET MY SPEECHLESS!DEAN EPISODE??????

From my lips/computer screen/thought waves/whatever to Ben Edlund's ears?

Heads-up Izhi.

Go to 25:25 for the question.
Go to 26:16 for Jensen's thoughts on this quote (though he might not even know he's repeating something I posted a couple weeks ago).
Go to 26:42 for Sera's comments regarding conversations in a look.

Note how they talk at the same time EVEN IN ASL at 27:10.

Don't mind me. I'll just be over here in the corner flailing in anticipation.

Also! Kalquessa! You were there in the room when they talked about this, but still! I must point it out.

Go to 33:24 for questions about the weapons cache. Specifically NINJA STARS and the GRENADE LAUNCHER! Chica, we were talking about that years ago. Also also? Jensen is adorable. He's such a guy.

I do not have an icon that properly expresses the degree of flailing experienced when presented with these two conversations.

Do I really need to remind you how much I love these guys? Or would that be redundant?

So. This past week, E! On-line has been running one of their popularity polls. Jensen made it into the final round of the "Alpha Male Madness" competition, running opposite Darren Criss of Glee (whom I'd never heard of. I don't watch Glee). It was a very heated competition, and both sides had elements that got nasty. I might write more about my observations later, but for now, this is what surprised me:

First, go take a look at the winner announcement and the posted comments they selected.

You back? Okay. That first one, the one titled "Family don't end with blood"?

That comment entry?

I wrote that.

They chose one of my entries as an example of why Jensen is awesome.

I know it's just a silly internet poll, but . . . I can't help but be all flabbergasted and stuff.

I . . . it's just a weird feeling to see something I wrote representing why Jensen is awesome. O.o How did that happen?

It's kind of exciting. :-)

You know, in a really silly, fannish, there-are-so-many-other-more-important-things-in-life way.

(And those of you who know about our looking into adoption can imagine how the whole adoptive/surrogate family storyline has added yet another layer to the show for me, yeah? But that's another entry for another time.)

If you're interested, here's the original entry )

I was writing something today (just personal ponderings), and I ended up writing about one of the reasons I really like Jensen Ackles.

Reason #1,301,127 to love Jensen Ackles )
feliciakw: (Eye of the Tiger)
One of my dear flisties, who insists on enabling my thespic enthusiasm for one Jensen Ackles, sent me this link.

Seriously, how can anyone stand to be in the same room with so much awesome? (I'd be willing to try.) Is that much awesome even legal?

I cannot adequately explain how much I love and agree with so much of what Jensen says in this article, or how interesting I find other of his comments. Or how much I would love to observe, maybe even work on, a professional set. With them. With people who know what they're doing and have fun doing it. It just kinda makes me want to 'splode.

Articles like this (and the vids) make me want to attend a convention. I would love to see and hear these guys (especially Jensen) in person. I want to sit down with him and pick his brain about everything--especially acting.

Sadly, chances are slim to none that I'll ever meet them in person, and I'll just have to make due with TV. Ay, me. I think, if I had my choice, I think I'd want to go to a foreign con to see them, and that makes it especially impossible because, ya know, I don't have a gajillion dollars to my name. Alas.
feliciakw: (Jensen promo)
. . . to download something before its official release.

Which is silly, because if Jensen were not involved in the project, it wouldn't even be on my radar.

As it is? All the great reviews that Batman: Under the Red Hood is getting is making me very anxious to see this movie. Seriously. Cannot wait.

A brief, self-indulgent retrospective )

For those who haven't seen this yet, with mucho thanks to the awesome flistie who gives me a heads-up on stuff like this (because despite impressions to the contrary, I do not actually have my finger on the pulse of all things Jensen):

Dang! Why do I know that voice? )
feliciakw: (Theater)
It seems that right now, most of my dramatic proclivities are going to find an outlet at church. One of the ladies is very keen on getting a drama program/ministry up and running, and Geo and I (particularly I) are very interested in having an outlet for my love of theater. I miss working with people of a theatrical background, and I really miss taking part in full-scale productions (the last one was The Threepenny Opera in 2006). But the local community theater group that I'm part of trying to get started has run into a few snags and internal conflicts, and until we can figure out what's what, church is going to be where all my performance energies are going to be channeled. (Not a bad thing, mind you. A very good thing, actually.)

In that regard, I and one of the other ladies of the church are going to be performing a skit/short play at the ladies tea this Saturday. And it's going to be a challenge for me. )

This weekend has been one of my best in what seems like a long time.

A wonderful day )

A couple of ordinary things that make life more pleasant . . .

Jewelry to play with )

Yes, I'm that pathetic )
feliciakw: (Eye of the Tiger)
As some of you know, I love doing theater. My first love is acting, but directing, ADing, SMing, and costuming work, too. As some of you also know, I worked costume and wardrobe on My Mummy, the independent movie Geo co-wrote/starred in/co-directed. The woman I worked with was amazing--I love her to pieces--and she at one point told me I'd missed my calling. I should have been a costumer. "But I prefer acting," said I. "I know," said she, "but you should have been a costumer."

Well, now not only does the fan!girl in me and the actress in me have reason to love Jensen, but the costumer in me does, too.

It's been said at previous cons--and it's in the commentary on The Inch Hero--that Jensen is the one who picked out Priestly's kilt. That, my friends, was a bold and daring move, both character appropriate and hilarious.

Now I come to learn that it was Jensen who picked out the gym shorts he wore as Coach Roth in "After School Special." Yes, my friends, he did that to himself. I cannot properly express how amused I am by that.

Which takes me back to an early con comment he made stating that he wanted some ghost hunter-type accouterments for Dean, which resulted in his amulet and his bracelet.

I love that Jensen as an actor understands his characters enough to see where the humor can be had, and how costuming choices make the character. "Clothes make the man," as the saying goes. And I love that Jensen is smart enough to play with that.

This concludes today's session of thespic enthusiasm.

[livejournal.com profile] kalquessa is doing the Five Things meme, and I commented, and here's what she said she wanted me to nanner on about:

Stage acting, widescreen, Jensen, A/V geekery, and dancing )

So. Anything else anyone want to know?
