GIP: Looky what was in my stocking
Dec. 25th, 2007 06:52 pmMy first ever (I think) Gratuitous Icon Post. Hee!
Looky what I found in my stocking this morning: Dean Winchester!

Okay, seriously. This was in my e-mail when I got up this morning. It is the result of a conversation that took place here in my LJ on November 20. Those familiar with SPN know what I'm talkin' 'bout.
The icon is courtesy of my dear friend (and shameless TV crack enabler)
izhilzha, who commissioned this fine piece of artwork from
jd3000. I'd like to thank them both for the effort and the giftie.
It just makes me go, "Hee!"

Merry Christmas!
Dec. 25th, 2007 05:20 pm“Do not be afraid; for see--I am bringing you good news of great joy for all the people: to you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is the Messiah, the Lord."
"Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace among those whom he favors."
Merry Christmas to all!

Dec. 13th, 2007 01:10 pmTonight is Thursday night, a night which, for the past several years, has meant anxiously awaiting the next episode of CSI. Well, tonight, that *gasp* is changing. Not that I'm not looking forward to CSI, mind you, and we will be Tivoing it, of course. But I find myself far more eager to see--for the first time in first run--watching it as it airs--( Supernatural )
So tonight, instead of watching CSI, which used to be a "don't answer the phone, don't answer the door, if you know me, you know I'm not available" show, I've now transferred that attention to SPN.
I'm still totally unreachable on Fridays at 10:00pm.

Drat you, Izhilzha!
Nov. 20th, 2007 10:30 amDrat you and your enabling ways!
(Okay, not really. But it's not like I needed *another* "late on the up-take" TV show.)
My brain is being co-opted, shang-hied, and otherwise eaten by the Brothers Winchester, originally of Lawrence, KS. It's all
izhilzha's fault, with her oh-so-capable accomplices Dean, and my own husband of all people!!!!
It's Jensen Ackles' fault, really. Well, Izhi's fault for introducing me, Geo's fault for providing the discs behind my back, and Mr. Ackle's fault for being such a freakin' talented actor. (I miss my theater peeps. Wah!!!!)
My problem is this: I only do one obsession at a time, and I'm not ready to leave LA and the Eppeses. But . . . ya know . . . Dean . . . the smile . . . the voice . . . the charm . . . the angst . . . Okay, so, I've never really gone for the "bad boy" type, not really, but dang!!! He reminds me of people I actually know, kinda. Especially some of his facial expressions.
What does it say that Izhi came to visit at the end of October, and by mid-November Geo and I have gone through S1 & S2 straight through, do not pass "Go," do not collect $200? That's just not right.
But dang!

Oct. 30th, 2007 06:58 pmThis is apparently (according to Geo) due out on DVD soon. Geo also says that David Tennant reminds him of my brother in the pictures. Hee.

In other news, I was back at work today after
izhilzha's wonderful visit this past weekend. Will hopefully write more of that later, along with the "10 things that make me happy" list.
