Life, Fannishness, and Thespic Infatuation

Once upon a time, SPN had an episode set at Christmas time. The end of the episode was poignant and heartfelt and bittersweet and all that.

The final shot was a shot looking into the boys' motel room as they sat watching the football game, with the Impala right outside the door. Snow might have been falling, or maybe not.

There is an icon floating around somewhere, a gif, of that shot, with snow and the added touch of twinkle lights.

I'd very much like to snag that icon (with proper credit given), but I haven't seen it yet this season. (I should have snagged it when I first saw it. Maybe I did. Maybe it's on my laptop. Which is still in the shop.)

Anyone know the icon I mean? Care to point me in the right direction?

Sadly, I don't actually LOL much at the internetz anymore. But this icon? Oh, yeah. So much so that I had to share.

Hey, gang. Got a request for ya. If any of you all have mad icon-making skillz, I'd like to request an SPN icon using the following quote:

What kind of house doesn't have salt? Low-sodium freaks!

It is a throw-away line for "Provenance," and it cracks me up every time. Just goes to show what sort of everyday circumstances can hinder a hunt.

Feel free to play with the punctuation, too. Because Sam was definitely under stress when he delivered the line.

I'd like to have The Boys included in the icon, but it's not necessary. It can be text only. In fact, that might work better. Dunno. It can be animated, flashing back and forth between the sentences or whatever.

I originally asked kalquessa to put this on her (very long) to-do list, but I don't want to overtax her, especially since she's been kind enough to pinch-hit beta for me recently. Cheese Elf? You can still put this in the icon hopper; I just wanted to put it out there for others to play with if they wanted to.

Okay, seriously. This was in my e-mail when I got up this morning. It is the result of a conversation that took place here in my LJ on November 20. Those familiar with SPN know what I'm talkin' 'bout.

The icon is courtesy of my dear friend (and shameless TV crack enabler) izhilzha, who commissioned this fine piece of artwork from jd3000. I'd like to thank them both for the effort and the giftie.
