Times they are a'changin' . . .

Tonight is Thursday night, a night which, for the past several years, has meant anxiously awaiting the next episode of CSI. Well, tonight, that *gasp* is changing. Not that I'm not looking forward to CSI, mind you, and we will be Tivoing it, of course. But I find myself far more eager to see--for the first time in first run--watching it as it airs--Supernatural.
Just a reminder, this is all
izhilzha's fault. Hers and Geo's. Hers and Geo's and Jensen Ackles'. She introduced me, he enabled me, Jensen enthralled me. Okay, Jared Padalecki is not blameless in the equation--not by a long shot--but thespically speaking, I lean a little toward Jensen. Totally their fault. I was minding my own business, enjoying my N3, living my life, when Sarah comes to visit less than 2 months ago, and introduces me to the Winchester Boys. Cool pilot ep. Entertaining. Geo would like it. So we watch the second ep of the series, but I insist that he check out the first ep (because it was better). At this point, I'm thinking, "Okay, cool. Good show, though I don't think I could take horror on a weekly basis. I prefer my horror in 2-hour cinematic doses during the appropriate season of the year. Actually I prefer spook movies to straight-up horror. But now I know who these characters are, and when Sarah starts on about Sam and Dean, I'm not completely in the dark." But then . . .
At some point during the Impala love and the hidden arsenal and the metal soundtrack, Geo says, "We have to get these discs."
I was doomed.
So he gets Season 1, which we rip through in short order, the finale of which left me yelling at the TV, "That's just cheating!!!" They left it in a horrible cliffhanger, you see. So I ask when we can get Season 2.
And he pulls Season 2 out of . . . I have no idea where he was hiding it, but he'd already bought it is the point.
So we rip through Season 2.
Then he downloads what's aired of Season 3 from iTunes. We were good and waited until after Thanksgiving to start in on that, but we went through those eps in short order as well. Which brings us to tonight.
Sadly, Geo will not be able to watch with me, as he will be recording his radio show for tomorrow's broadcast. I've debated whether or not to wait and watch it with him, but I've got a stupid-busy schedule the next couple of days . . .
So tonight, instead of watching CSI, which used to be a "don't answer the phone, don't answer the door, if you know me, you know I'm not available" show, I've now transferred that attention to SPN.
I'm still totally unreachable on Fridays at 10:00pm.
Just a reminder, this is all
