My heart hurts.
The last time one of my shows did this (to Donna Noble at the end of that season of Dr. Who), I balled my eyes out for 20 minutes.
I think it will take a while for the tears to come this time, but my heart hurts so very much right now.
I'm watching with my mom. Her comment was, "Dean made the ultimate sacrifice. He let her go."
And I was right, in a manner of speaking. Dean has ceased to exist for Lisa and Ben.
*sob*
I'll have much to say about it in my long and rambly. *sob*

(In fic, I've seen it called "mind rape.") They had zero choice in the matter. Dean decided for them to remove a part of their lives.
It was to make their lives easier, to restore their innocence when it comes to things that go bump in the night. To save them the trauma of what they went through. And I appreciate that.
But it doesn't keep them safe. It doesn't change how Dean feels about them. Ergo, they can still be targets.
Also, are there any evidences of Dean still lurking about their house? Last we saw the leather jacket--which, yes, I know was stolen in real life. But last we saw it, it was in a box in Lisa's garage. Storywise, it's still there.
And I love Dean for making the sacrifice, but I also strongly question the wisdom of Dean's request.
Regardless, it hurts. I'm going to be wibbling about it all summer. *sob*
More in my rambly when I get to it.
