March came in like a lion, as the saying goes. We had cold with heavy rain on March 1, then on the 2nd, March really hit--warmish temperation, wind the kind that always makes me holler, "Auntie Em! Auntie Em! Toto! Toto!" It just felt like MARCH. Then with the snow on Saturday--fog and snow and wind. Today the sun is out.

In other news, the Dr. Who soundtrack makes me smile.

More about the

Geo got the Dr. Who soundtrack. We were going somewhere, and he pulled it out and put it in the car's CD player. I bounced. I just barely stopped myself from asking, "For me?" because really, I've outgrown that, right? I mean, when I was little, and my mom would come home from the store, I had a habit of asking, "Did you get me anything?" But that's little kid stuff, right?

But I didn't have to ask. Geo said it was indeed for me. :-) Probably because he can put it on his iPod, thus eliminating the need for the CD. Me, I play CDs in the car because I don't have an iPod. But still, hee!!!

It's very, very cool and very, very fun. The one track that [livejournal.com profile] scionofgrace described as a Firefly rip-off, I recognized immediately (we just watched the ep a couple days ago, and I remember thinking even before her comment that it sounded like Firefly music), and I told Geo about that comment. He laughed and said, "It does sound like Firefly!" Of course my next thought was, "I wonder if the Firefly soundtrack is out." That will have to be my next musical acquisition.

Anway, the sound track has a lot of boppy, interstate-driving music (like the theme song), and it's got that haunting vocal theme, and it's got the "Monster Bossa" (bwah!) which is a lot of fun, and "Doomsday," and . . . it's just a lot of fun and makes me smile. :-)

Geo has also been keeping an eye on the DVD release of "Runaway Bride" and the next season of Dr. Who. I enjoy the new incarnations immensely, but I think Geo gets a kick out of the show from a revival POV as well. I mean, I think it's neat, and I appreciate the revival aspect of it, but the Fourth Doctor is, of course, "his" Doctor. He's so tickled that the franchise (for lack of a better word) is being revived with new Doctors and new adventures.

It seems I had other stuff to share, but it's slipped my mind.

The Firefly soundtrack is indeed out, and I could listen to it forever. Can only ever find it on Amazon, though.

Doesn't Doctor Who just have the best soundtrack? I really hope they do another one with "Runaway Bride." That was great music.

Interstate-driving music! Yes! Exactly! Travelling music! Doesn't that just fit?

Was thinking just today how splendid it must be for Classic Who fans that the series has started coming out again. ::tries to imagine the return of a favorite but long-cancelled show:: Wow.

I'm finding that I particularly like the actual songs (my CD is in the car, so the names escape me, as does the name of the singer. Sorry). They're fun and boppy and slightly cheesy (in a good way, like a fine Brie) in a sort of Tom Jones go-go kind of way. Hee!!!
