New screening
Sep. 5th, 2012 04:10 pmBecause I've been getting a stupid amount of spam on my LJ the past few days, I've changed my comments to "registered users." I have a friend or two who occasionally post anonymously to some of my entries (you know who you are), and I apologize that spammybots have forced me to do this.
But ick. I'm sick and tired of having multiple jibberish posts posted to my LJ. Blech.
Anyway, just FYI.

Please make it stop
Oct. 26th, 2010 07:59 pmTwilight can go away any time now.
Okay, I was delighted with the mockery of the Twilight series in last week's ep of SPN. I have good-naturedly told my young relatives who love the series that vampires. do. not. sparkle. Period. I have debated reading at least the first book so I can critique further and with authority, but my interest has never been that keen.
Now we have this:
Superman Gets a Hipster Makeover
Not that this affects me one way or the other. Christopher Reeve will always be "my" Superman.

Why so slow, iTunes?
Apr. 24th, 2010 07:54 amPatience is a virtue, right?
*sigh*
ETA: Looks like Show isn't getting uploaded today. Maybe it will be there tomorrow morning. We really need to figure out a way to record shows now that we don't have Tivo.
ETA 2: For those who might be waiting with bated breath for my long and rambly (I wouldn't know you're out there because, well, I can't hear you breathing), please breathe. iTunes didn't post 5.19 yesterday, and this being the weekend, I don't expect to see it until Monday at the earliest. (They've done this before, and it's freakin' annoying.) I'm eager to see it again, because our CW affiliate has this nasty habit of dropping the transmission at key points in the show. And I had stuff I wanted to say about this ep. But alas, I cannot. I hope you're all still interested come Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday/whenever iTunes gets its act together. (If you think you will be, I wouldn't mind if you spoke up.)

The Spoiler Conundrum
Sep. 12th, 2009 01:16 pmTo be spoiled, or not to be spoiled. That is the question.
Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The slings and arrows of outrageous wankage,
Or to take arms against a sea of unrevealed plot points
And by opposing, be completely blindsided when they appear?
To spoil, to flail no more?
And by the spoilers to say we end
The heart-ache and the thousand natural shocks
That fannishness is heir to, 'tis a consummation
that has its pros and cons.
To spoil, to flail. To spoil, perchance, to squee. Ay, there's the rub.
For in that squee what flails may be forstalled
When we view the ep as aired,
Must give us pause . . .

Aug. 26th, 2009 10:59 amYes, my laptop is turned off and getting ready to be put away. I'm at the big computer. :-)
I started to read a TV Guide article that my mom sent, and I couldn't finish it. I am really disappointed--like, phenomenally disappointed--with the direction said article indicates SPN is going to take things this season.
( Cut for spoilers )
