Earthquake spam

So suddenly my f-list is getting spammed by earthquake posts. Well, if you can call three posts from three different people a spam. So I shall just say here that I'm glad y'all are okay and that it added a dimension of excitement to your day.

In other news, our kitchen ceiling fell in last night. It had nothing to do with earthquakes.

Dude, WHAT? You kitchen ceiling totally trumps our earthquake. Yikes, is everything okay and getting fixed?

I was gonna call you while I made dinner tonight, but I'm thinking maybe you'll be busy doing things related to your CEILING CAVING IN. Dude.

Everything is okay in that it could have been much worse. (See above response to Izhi for details.) We've had the repair guy over for the A/C, and we're waiting to hear from the insurance company about fixing the ceiling.

There's actually not a whole lot to do at this point except wait. I've moved all the furniture out of the kitchen, so that's made working in said kitchen . . . interesting . . . I took the day off of work today waiting for the A/C guy, which I totally didn't need to do with as late as he got here, but whatever. I'll be back at work tomorrow.

As I said above, when it rains, it pours. Luckily our roof seems to be in tact.
