Our room in the house has an ocean view. I opened the sliding door onto the deck, kept the screen door closed, and went to sleep to the sound of the ocean. For real--not a recording or imitation.

It rained last night. Cloudy and overcast today. I don't think a day at the beach is in store. I've got a Carl Hiaasen book to read, a script to learn, and crochet to keep me busy. (No pictures, as I've already given them, but I gave NieceB and Niece T crochet beach bags for the trip, one on blue variegated and one in orange sherbet variegated.) Also possibly a trip to the grocery, since I don't want to completely free-load off everyone in the house. I want to contribute something to the household and kitchen expenses.

I've also been checking out the con reports and photos coming in from Barcelona. The guys look good. I'm kind of sad to see that Jensen doesn't wear a ring on his right hand anymore, but I'm tickled beyond reason to see the one on his left. And while I think I prefer him clean shaven, the beard he's sporting looks really good, and make him look like . . . himself? . . . if that makes any sense. Like Jensen rather than a character he's played.

Here's hoping for a sunny day on the beach tomorrow.

Glad to hear you're having a good time!

From what I heard, Jensen's solo panel yesterday was great and that he was, of course, very articulate and thoughtful with his responses. He had some wonderful questions, a lot about acting, directing, etc.

I've read a couple of reports, and I'm really hoping for some clips, because it sounds very interesting. He even mentioned how good the questions were and how much the questions have changed since he started doing con lo these several years ago. As you said, lots of acting and directing questions. I was very interested to read that he expects the show to go into a S7. His comments about Lost cracked me up. I would so love to go to a (foreign) con at some point, but I just don't see it happening.

And though it's overcast today, the rain has stopped, and it's going to be very hot and humid, so I'm thinking a day in the water will not go amiss!

I think Jensen's reasons are logical from a business point of view: can The CW afford to have two of its established shows (and two of their highest rated shows) both be canceled at the same time? He's right in that I could see The CW canceling Smallville after this season and holding onto SPN for one more season and use it to either lead into or follow a new show, to give the new show a chance to get a following of its own.

They are. Very logical. That's what makes me go hmmmm . . . Because whether what's-her-name likes it or not, SV and SPN (the hold-overs from WB) are their ratings grabbers. At least, as I understand it.

I also think it's interesting that they're going to shoot his directing episode (ep 3, according to what I read he said) first. Interesting!

Hey, are you finding any additional info other than on the wiki? That's where I get my info, but sometimes I'll run across things that aren't listed on the wiki.

I've been trying to follow the twitter listing, but it's kind of crazy and all over the place, but there seems to be some misleading information or misinterpretation with that. Also, why do people keep reposting some people's tweets over and over again? Just clogs it all up. So, um, yeah, I don't recommend this source. LOL

Oh, I learned my lesson when I tried to follow the tweets for Asylum last year. They were so piecemeal, and I know I was getting an "interpretation" rather than a direct quote, and yeah, all sorts of misleading and misinterpreted information.

I'm not real good with twitter anyway. When Jared says he wouldn't know what to do if he ever did get on twitter, I totally understand.

The boys do look relaxed and happy, don't they? I guess they were kind of wiped out yesterday, but they seem full of energy today.

Jensen looks so much *younger*, I gotta say. I like the longer hair, and the beard - it just combines to make him look relaxed, on vacation, enjoying life. And yes, isn't it nice that they asked him about his favorite subject (his craft)? Given what he said about wanting to either move the audience or make them laugh, I'm really curious to see his episode. I hope they give him something he can sink his teeth into, at least in spots.

View of the ocean - ahhhhhh. It's raining here, but no ocean. And not warm enough to have the windows open. :(

I don't think it makes him look younger; actually, I think it makes him look more mature. But he just looks so relaxed and . . . "normal" . . . He just looks like him, I guess. You understand what I'm trying to say.

What he said about wanting to move an audience, I thought to myself, I really do need to write him that letter I've been composing for the past two years. Because he does move me and make me feel things. I just . . . gah! I want to talk to the man. Sit down over coffee (or a festive adult beverage) and just talk.

The waves are good, the water is COLD, and I ended up with about a ton of sand in my swimsuit. Gonna go grab some lunch now.

My dad always had a beard (except for one summer) when I was growing up. (He still does.) But I do prefer Geo to be clean shaven; beard burn is uncomfy, if you get my meaning.

He is just so awesome.

I know what you mean :) But wasn't it Jensen who mentioned that Danneel likes him with the beard and says it's soft?
