Why yes, I'm being a spammy Sammy
Feb. 1st, 2010 09:30 pmOkay, so. Reports and photos of SPN 100th ep party are starting to hit the 'Net (and can be found here). And it appears that one Jensen Ackles was the front man/lead singer for a Blues Brothers-esque band called The Impalas.
See, here's the thing. There's a convention scheduled in Vancouver later this year. With the con taking place in Vancouver, I think it's safe to say that all members of The Impalas will be in the vicinity.
And here's the kicker: It is common Creations practice to offer a cabaret the night before the days of the Q&As. It was common practice, back in the day, for Kevin Smith (aka Ares, God of War) to front a band made up of other actors from the Hercules/Xena casts. Michael Hurst (my personal fave of the Herc actors) gave a one-man cabaret show at the first con I ever attended.
And as I understand it, musical performances by such personages as Jason Manns and Steve Carlson are also common practice at Creations cons.
My point being, it would not be beyond the realm of possibility or Creations practice for The Impalas to take the stage on a Friday (or Saturday) night. If, you know, the proper participants could be persuaded.
Just sayin'.
