[livejournal.com profile] izhilzha and I were talking the other day about fandom equivalencies.

We've often said that:

Don Eppes (N3) = Jim Ellison (TS)
Charlie Eppes (N3) = Blair Sandburg (TS)
David Sinclair & Colby Granger (N3) = Rafe & Brown (TS) . . . you need to decide for yourself who is who, because it could go a couple different ways

One might also add that Alan Eppes (N3) = Simon Banks (TS) . . . in a completely different capacity, but the characters have similar functions as mentors.

I will go even further and say that:

Don Eppes (N3) = Jack O'Neill (SG-1)
Charlie Eppes (N3) = Samantha Carter (SG-1)
Megan Reeves (N3) = Daniel Jackson (SG-1)
David Sinclair & Colby Granger (N3) = Teal'c (SG-1)

And in other news, apparently the last 10 eps of SG-1 are supposed to start airing on SciFi on April 6. So there ya go.

Does that make Larry Thor, or the little guy who runs the Stargate? Or maybe he's doctor Frasier...

Larry is Larry. He built a stargate leading to the FBI office; you'll find it in Charlie's office closet. He built it with parts purchased off the internet and his toaster. That's how we get Accio!Charlie in so many scenes. (You've noticed the whooshing effect they use in the FBI establishing shot? That's the stargate effect.)

Don, however, does not like the idea of traveling by stargate, which is why you'll always see him enter Charlie's office through the office door. He never "just appears". (Though now I'm thinking there would be benefits to Accio!Don.)

Amita apparently doesn't know about the 'gate, though, because she and Charlie drove to the FBI office in "One Hour" rather than taking the 'gate. Either that, or she doesn't trust it.

I suppose Larry's building a stargate does make him part Ancient . . . or at least part Asgard . . . or on close personal terms with Thor . . .

And I know he'd love to take a tour in the TARDIS . . . but that's another story.

You are so nominated to write this now, you realize that? Because it's perfect crack for those of us in Larry withdrawal. :D

I don't believe this. You've actually got me trying to figure out where the FBI stargate is, because of course you need a stargate on each end. And even more scary? I've figured it out. Larry built it in a stall in the men's room. They've put an "Out of Order" sign on the door so no one will find it, and the Ka-Whoosh sounds like a flush that needs repaired, so voila.

Also, this explains why Amita will not travel by stargate. It'd be really hard to explain why Amita is coming out of the men's restroom.

My brain hurts.

Based on what [livejournal.com profile] feliciakw said, I think Larry is totally Thor. Hee!

Well, if Larry's Thor, she'd better apologize!
