Christmas-y request(s)

Different from the wish list (which is no longer a public post), I'm hoping some of my f-list can provide or point me in the direction of some good Christmas icons. Fannish (and Peanuts) Christmas icons are fine and dandy, but I'd kind of like an actual Christmas icon or two.

Also? Now that we actually have an angel in SPN, I'd love for someone to write, as izhilzha describes it: "Realistic Christmas fic using or somehow involving “The Peace Carol.” Points if it’s not actually a songfic, but still uses the lyrics/song in a prominent way; double points if the fic takes place during TV canon (no flashbacks)."

It struck me last year (being newly introduced to SPN) when I was playing through my piano music, that The Peace Carol totally fits the Winchester boys. Izhi and I had batted around a loose plot line, based on what we knew at the time. But now that there actually is an angel in the show, I think it could work . . . even better?

Anyway, yeah.

Festive Christmas would be good--stars, tinsel, ornaments, trees. But what I'm really hankering for right now is a religious one or two. Nothing too overblown or ornate; simple is better. But I've always been terrible at hunting for icons, and I'm always impressed with the ones that my friends find.

Ah, the fic. Yes. I do so want to read one based on that song, and yet, I sing the song, and it's all pretty much right there, isn't it. My original thought for the fic was to have a guest character that could maybe possibly have been an angel, or maybe not. It was back when we were working on the premise that the Boys were the Forces of Good in the show. But I was wanting some sort of subtle indication of the existence of supernatural Good. Now we have an actually angel in the show, and that could definitely have potential for a Christmas fic.
