Just an update-y thing on what I've been

Last Sunday we had an open house. The realtor said afterward (Geo and I had to make ourselves scarce) that there were four people/parties/couples/whatever come through to look, but no real takers. The main comments was "oh, this is cute." One young woman, first-time home buyer who came through with her mom, was apparently concerned that the furnace was old and the storm windows would need to be replaced. Well, the furnace gets maintenanced, and the windows are up to the buyer. We just put a roof on last summer, the siding is less than 10 years old, and all the appliances (washer, dryer, fridge, stove) are less than 10 years old and come with the house. They also, apparently, were concerned about no central air. Central air in this 1910's neighborhood? Good luck.

But, whatever. I'm still trusting God for the right timing on everything.

The combined stress of the job at the pawn shop a while back and putting the house on the market set off another round of really bad skin problems. I haven't had a breakout this bad in a few years, but the last time, I was left with a scar that I ended up going to the MD/plastic surgeon to have looked at. He ended up cutting and sending it for tests or something. This time I'm left with two scars that I want gone, with a possible third . . . so if he has to cut this time, I'm going to be *very* nervous. I'm wondering if he'll suggest laser or something this time around. I'm also wondering how I'll manage to pay for such a thing, since my insurance tells me they don't cover this particular doctor, but the doctor's office says yes, they take our insurance.

I started working on a new blouse for the holidays. It should be really easy to put together; I just need to actually do it.

Tomorrow is Geo's and my 11th anniversary. 11th anniversary on 11/11. And Geo is 44, which is divisible by 11. Someone told me I should play the lottery. If I were a lottery-playing person, I probably would. As it is, I just like the pretty numbers. :-)

And a happy birthday to [livejournal.com profile] kerravonsen. Nov. 11 is a really busy day! Her birthday, my anniversary, Veteran's Day over here in the States.

Dr. Who and Numb3rs look really good tomorrow. They'll have to wait until Saturday or Sunday, though.

People who don't want your house are crazy. That house is adorable and sweet and has lots of room and it's pretty. (And who needs central heating? I grew up without it and did just fine, lol. Silly modern people.)

Anyway--want to hear something a little weird? I dreamed about you last night, and I don't remember all of it, but I do remember you suddenly and unexpectedly getting a call that someone wanted to buy the house (also wanted to buy a store of some kind that, in the dream, you apparently owned, but anyway). You were quite startled.

Maybe God's got something in the works, but you won't see it coming.

*hugs*

Thanks. :-) It's got good "vibes." When we first moved in, everyone was like, "oh, this is nice. So warm and inviting." Which is nice.

Wow. That would be kind of neat, having someone just call up and say they want to buy our house. Very cool indeed. As for the store . . . I have no idea what that would be in reference to . . . hm . . .
