Jensen's New Movie (My Bloody Valentine) - Promo still released

Something to tide you over until I control my giggles and delight from last night's SPN.

So. I don't know how many of you keep up with J's & J's other projects (I know some of you do), but in case a few of you haven't seen this yet, here's the first promo still released for My Bloody Valentine 3-D. I've got two links here:

The first link is just to the pic and a brief synopsis of the movie.

The second link is, imo, the better of the two images (same still, but the second is larger and has more res). The link will take you to a horror movie website. There are what I consider spoilers for the overall plot of the movie, and I cannot vouch for the rest of the site, so please be aware.

I haven't decided yet if I want to do the research (i.e., watch the original) the way I have with the F13 movies for Jared's remake. Since F13 was so iconic during my youth, I thought it was probably about time I saw them anyway. This one doesn't seem like anything special except to hardcore horror fans (which I am not). Meh, maybe I'll Netflix it. Meh, maybe not.

Yay, Jensen! Yay red corn syrup! I'm not sure how I feel about the fact that SPN has given me a taste for horror flicks, something Mr. Bill tried and failed utterly to do when we were dating. *eyebrow*

Also: I cannot wait to get home and watch this ep, my entire friendslist exploded with giggles at 10:00 pm on the dot last night.

Oh, if you want a movie that totally went overboard with the corn syrup, you must see Dead Alive, Peter Jackson's first movie. You will NOT believe it's the same guy who did LotR.

Yay, Jensen! indeed. And if you want some recs for good "horror" movies--though I lean more heavily toward the spook movies than the gore movies--do let me know. I'm sure I could compile you quite a list to keep you busy this Halloween season.

You WILL call me after you see this episode, I'm sure. Because you must. Because it's just full of glee. Also, it was already up in the iTunes store when I got up this morning. First thing I did was download it for the hi-res and widescreen. (I'll have to tell you sometime about how my dad used to explain to me pan-and-scan when we'd watch old musicals on TV. He was always explaining the how of the things they did in the movies. Come to think of it, maybe my mom wasn't my only influence when it came to my fannishness. Mom was the personality fannishness; Dad was the technical. Huh.)

I should say, went overboard with the corn syrup or whatever the NZ equivalent to fake blood is. My thought halfway through the movie was, "I'll bet these actors had a BLAST playing in all this goo." My thought by the end of the movie was, "I'll bet these actors got SICK of playing in all this goo."
