feliciakwJust got done re-watching the ep.
Upon second viewing:
The camerawork makes less sense, but the story itself doesn't grate as much.
Was able to hear better what the brothers were saying, since I didn't have my sinus headache and could actually turn the TV up to an audible level.
Wait. Did Dean say what I think he said? Did he say he hadn't eaten in the whole year he was in Purgatory? O.o I mean, I know there weren't any burgers in Purgatory, but he didn't eat at all? What . . . ??? How . . . ??? There's a story there.
Also, I'm now wondering what the average life span of a werewolf is if they don't get killed. Because 4 generations from alpha? If that is indeed what pureblood means. Werewolves are supposed to be as ancient as any other monster, right? Hm . . .
Wait. That's Bobby's kitchen, isn't it. That's Bobby's house isn't it! Bobby's house!
Best part of the ep was still the stuff with the guys, I think. Would have liked more outsider POV of them, but I don't know how the writing could have made that work.
The end, with Sam and Dean, was delightfully telling. Dean in a serious internal monologue with himself regarding not going after Kate, and the very chill way he agrees they don't need to go after her. Sam being the one who's ready to make preparations to track her down, and his surprise at Dean's very chill reaction. Sam's assurance that if Kate did pop up on their radar killing people, that they'd track her down and put her down. Sam seeming a little more in tune to Dean's mood in this.
Has anyone else noticed the music this season? They've made a new arrangement of Dean's guitar riff (as played in "Tiger Mommy"), and this one they had new closing credits music.
So very much amused by the promo for next week. Benny with his "Capri Sun" pint of blood, slurping it like a little kid finishing off a milkshake. Hee! But I wonder how long it will be until Dean has to offer up his own veins for Benny.
(Oh, great. And now I've got Little Shop of Horrors running through my head. "Looks like you're not happy/Unless I open a vein.")
