SPN gets early renewal.

I think this has been a public secret for a long time. Jensen even mentioned it so very off-handedly during the recent con. He said that he passed on a movie shooting this summer because he'd have to go directly from the movie back to SPN. He said it like it was common knowledge and everyone already knew.

Also, they hired Jeremy Carver, and have been talking about looking forward to seeing where he takes the series.

Also, when asked if Dean has forgiven Cas, Jensen said no. Not this year. Maybe next year. Again, as if "next year" was common knowledge.

This makes me happy.

(Jensen also mentioned with a question mark Season 9.)

So, here's hoping for some delicious fic over the summer hiatus. *thinks longingly back to S3-S4 hiatus fic*

I wasn't around back then, what was special about the Season 3, 4 hiatus fics?

Oh my word.

The fic of S3 and the S3-S4 hiatus was heartbreaking. It was Dean going to Hell, it was Sam trying to save Dean from going to Hell. And hiatus was what was happening to Dean in Hell, and Sam trying to get Dean out of Hell.

One fic, I just sat on the floor of my room and sobbed for about 20 minutes. Actually, that happened with a couple of S3/S4 fics. You can find a few in my spnfic memories.

It probably wouldn't have the same affect on you as it did on us who had no idea what was going to happen. When the fic was being written during the season, we didn't know for 100% certain that Dean was going to Hell. We thought he might be saved. Then we had no idea how he was going to come back (Kripke had sworn up and down that angels would never be a part of the show, so that wasn't even on the radar.) It just . . . Guh! So much juicy fic that summer.

Check out the summergen stuff from that year, and that will give you an idea.

I read a quote from Jensen that he wants to go to a season 11 so he can thumb his nose at Tom Welling. *grin* There are worse ambitions.

Oh, yes, I saw that in one of the vids. Part of him wants to go 11 season, and part of him says, "Are you nuts????" Heh.
