If anyone still cares . . .

Regarding the timeline for the "Repo Man" flashback--Jim Michaels, in an interview at Winchester Bros., places the flashback in S3. I've already discussed why I think this makes the most sense, so I won't rehash.
I haven't listened to it, but here's the link if you're interested.

Date: 2012-02-27 05:17 pm (UTC)MY gripe with the timeline was that they put the spotlights back on the Impala for the flashback, but in canon the spotlights were gone well before Time is on my side, making the whole thing one giant car porn cockblock, LOL. I WANT MY SPOTLIGHTS BACK FOR REAL DAMMIT JIM.
*also, that would have been early '09 in the timeline, which is correct. The '4 years ago' includes Sam's year in Hell. Technically in canon current time the year is 2013, not 2012.

Date: 2012-02-27 05:40 pm (UTC)I did a simple 7-4=3 (with the attendant "Are they counting the missing year?") and looked for clues. All of the clues pointed to S3.
It just makes more sense for it to be in S3 (which I wrote about in previous entries :-) ).
As for searchlights: Is it too much to hope that in the Impala's overhaul they put the searchlights back on?

Date: 2012-02-27 06:49 pm (UTC)Oh, I know. And actually I had that backwards - 4 years ago should be 08, not 09 if you DON'T count the missing year, 5 years ago if you do. *headdesk* (In my defense, I've been running a fever for 14 days and my brain may be literally fried at this point.)
I base everything pre-s4 on the date Dean returned from Hell, 9/18/2008, which was the airdate for Lazarus rising. That's the last time it was really solid.

I honestly don't see why not! To put them back on for one scene is a LOT of work - apparently to install them you have to drill into the mainframe!(?) O.o but Jim's tweets seemed to be saying it was just temporary, and that makes me really, really sad. ;_;
