Brief thoughts on AVSC

This was the first ep we ever watched live.

Some really clever, fun elements (like the opening "Special").

The brother stuff--the relationship, the grief, the giving, the love--this is some of the most beautiful relationship stuff they've done.

Dean trying to make Christmas for Sam. Sam doing the same for Dean so many years later.

And I really love the final scene: the brothers, simply enjoying each other's company while they can. With Christmas lights, snow, and the Impala outside the window.

Poignant (I seem to be using that word a lot), heart-hurty, with a melancholic beauty.
