Today on the way home from church, we stopped at a Sheetz to fill up the gas tank. I went in to get Geo some pop for the ride home, and what did they have in the case?

FAYGO!

I haven't seen Faygo in years! It was one of the standard soda pops that we had in the fridge during the summer when I was growing up.

And not only did they have Faygo, they had pineapple Faygo. One of my favorites!

Well, I had to get a bottle. And it tasted like summertime growing up. (It also reminded me of pineapple Dum-Dums.)

The taste of Summertime for me is a "Golden Gaytime" ice cream. Which they still make, yay!

I remember Mom and I stopping at the A&P and getting a cold diet Faygo cherry lime rickey.

They also had a killer cream soda in the diet too.

Faygo Red Pop! I only ever had it when we'd go to visit you guys in Ohio. Grandma [your maiden name] used to give it to me in a polka dot glass. Maybe she did the same for your lil Bro, my cous- or maybe she had other glasses she let y'all use. *sniff* memories!! They did start selling it down here in the South (as I reckon you saw) but not til I was no longer as facinated with Red Pop... or any carbonated beverage that color... I think I was in College by then and it just didn't have the same magic.

P.s. You probably already know this but my Dad went up to visit your Dad this weekend. High School Reunion. I had to go feed Dad's EVIL cat... yep, I'm a cat person... but that cat is EVIL!
(Not in the fun Evil!Sam way either)
