Considering that my preferred occupation is in the arts, it's pretty obvious that I'll take a job I like over a job that pays well.

My job at the PAC was the best job I ever had. Ever. I can always find people I enjoy working with, but I've had jobs where I made myself physically ill with the dread of having to go to work. The PAC was a combination of both people I liked to work with and work I loved. I never once dreaded going to work. Sure, everyone has days where they just don't want to go to work, but even on those days, once I was there, the day improved. I didn't get paid much, and only worked part time, but there were days when I couldn't help but think, "I can't believe they're paying me to do this! How did I get so lucky?"

I've also heard from outside sources that when I'm working a show, I'm really in my element and it just shows, how much I love my job. I sort of come alive working in the theater, I guess. I don't recall if the word joy was actually used, but that's what the person was getting at, I think.

However, I'm also blessed to be in a position where I don't have to worry about insurance or earning a living wage. If that were the case, I would have had to hold down two jobs at that time, which would have made things a bit more problematic.

I'll have to make a post sometime dedicated to the events that transpired to get me that particular job. Because that in itself was pretty awesome.
