Yes to all this! \0/ One of my favorite episodes ever. There's so much Sam foreshadowing, too, as the man who never wanted to be the demon vampire, as much as he lusts after it in a physical sense... and the Jus In Bello aspect in the end, accepting the lesser evil to defeat the greater evil.
