Yeah, it's a spammy morning.

I'm kinda glad I read the CW press release I saw yesterday. It . . . feels like one of the previews that I was missing having at the end of 5.22. Just enough to give a taste of where things might go. So that's good.

And I've read the paragraph from Jensen in the Brazilian mag (which as a certain margin of error due to translation). And I gotta say . . . I'm excited. This could be really cool, and has lots of potential.

It might also stimulate the little grey cells for some fic writers this summer. There was a lot of fic the summer after Dean's deal came due. I would kind of expect the same this summer, yeah?

For myself, however, I posted "Put the Load . . ." over at FF.net, and it's interesting the diversity of reviews I've gotten. And as I ponder in more detail how this summer might go for Dean, I find that there might be more fic involved. Lisa might continue her journal.

I personally have (probably over-optimistic) hopes that Dean will get his life together and move on. He'll never forget his brother, and there will always be a darkness in him, knowing that Sam is fighting Lucifer in the abyss for eternity (little does he know . . . ), but this is how he honors Sam's memory and sacrifice--by moving on and establishing a life outside of hunting. By becoming . . . his own person, so to speak, his identity more than solely Sam's protector. (Dean will always be a protector. Heaven help any man who treats Lisa with disrespect.)

And now that I've read the thing from Jensen, comparing it to a war vet coming home from the battle front, I'm so freakin' tickled. I almost put a line in Lisa's journal about looking for a support group for families of war vets. Because she doesn't know how to help him, and that's the closest thing she can think of. But how would she explain to the rest of the group, put it into the context of a specific war, when Dean's circumstances are so different? Gah! *flail*

So anyway, as I'm pondering how Dean and Lisa and Ben will cope this summer, I'm getting the impression that Dean makes himself stop drinking (as much, anyway). That they have a 4th of July BBQ, and Dean brings home a box of fireworks, that he takes Ben out to shoot some off, or to go plinking (not training for hunting, thankyouverymuch), and at some point slips and calls him Sam.

I see Dean coming up behind Lisa as she's doing dishes, and hugging her around the waist. Or Lisa kissing Dean on the back of the neck as she brings him more burgers for the grill.

And Ben teaching Dean how to make s'mores.

And Candice deciding that Lisa can do better and telling her to kick Dean out. (An idea which Lisa flatly refuses.)

And (Musey told me this just now) all the time, a presence just out of reach. Watching.

. . . .

I might also work on the next bit that Musey has tried to make me write of End Message. I'm no good with case!fic, but Sam has been trying to call Bobby for a long time now. It's just always when I'm never at the keyboard (or pen and paper). My muse is aquatic, you see, and she usually hands me stuff while I'm in the shower, or possibly doing dishes. *sigh*

Oh! And I apparently need to read the latest SPN tie-in this summer.

And it's a beautiful day out, and I'll make a crochet post later and . . . and . . .

Yay!

Hit the local toystore (WalMart probably has it as well) Crayola Bathtime Fun Crayons- sometimes you can find 'em with a floating slate. But keep 'em in the shower and when the Muse hits, you've got waterproof writing utensils at hand. You can get a floating slate to make bathtime that much more fun. However, I have found that the crayons work best just on the tile.

Just be sure to wipe it off when you're done other wise Geo will be left to ponder: "Dean and Sam face the ghost of BettyLou Stutton at the old saw mill- Both shirtless in this scene..." scrawled all over the walls.

Dish washing Muse. Umm... well you know you can step away from the suds and jot stuff down (Although come to think of it, this is why I never get any dishes done!)
