Geo is out of town this weekend. He went to New York on Wednesday to take part in a symposium for which he has two presentations to give.

This means I'm on my own this weekend. Which is okay, but it means I'm spending way too much time inside my own head.

Also, I'm on a new prescription that makes me alternately really, really sleepy, and lightheaded and dizzy. Oh, joy.

I'll try to get around to posting about what's been going on with me medically. In the meantime, I'd appreciate prayers for guidance to know what to do next. I thought babies were no longer in our future, but with what the doc is doing now . . . he seems cautiously optimistic. The back and forth is very taxing.

Also, I've been looking a little bit at adoption information. Too little too late, I'm afraid. And quite expensive.

Thank you, Carol. Good thoughts are always welcome. :-)

Speaking of, I hope your mom is doing well?

As someone with three adopted younger siblings, who were adopted when my parents were in their fifties, I'd encourage you to never say too little, too late. Yes, it can be expensive, both financially and emotionally, but in the long run I think definitely worth the cost. If God's leading you in that direction, have faith that He'll provide for you - He certainly did for my family.

Beyond that, good thoughts and prayers!

Thanks much for the prayers and good thoughts! Both are always welcome.

And thank you for the encouraging words. I've only done some 'Net-surfing looking for adoption information, and it is of course something Geo and I would have to consider seriously before embarking on the adventure. I appreciate knowing about your parents. If you're so inclined to PM me about the specifics of their situation, I'd be interested in reading.

Thanks again!

Sending hugs and well wishes your way. Meds that make you loopy are no fun... well... they can be a little fun. Hoping things work out with this new medical path. But at the same time, adoption is still an option and you know who you can talk to about that just a little down south aways from you. Wouldn't be the first adoption in the family ya know ;-) Things can be rough and difficult, but nothing's impossible!
and p.s. if none of the above was a big enough hint... LEDERHOSEN!
Take care!

You know, you can start in LJ account and not actually use it if you didn't want to be Anonymous all the time.

Otoh, I get a kick out of these random cries of LEDERHOSEN! Ha!

Oh, yes, I've got first-hand information available just down the road. Geo and I do need to have a serious sit-down discussion and decide if it's something we seriously want to pursue.

You and I can maybe talk more about it in private.

And you know? We really should pick a weekend on the calendar and get together. It's just silly that we haven't seen each other in over two years.

Just don't be 'too much' optimistic and it won't hurt you. *hugs*
And adaption is never too late actually.

Yes, my doctor is being what might be called "cautiously optimistic." And he's taking an approach that none of my other docs have in the past, so maybe this is it.

Thank you for the encouraging words. :-)

*hugs*
