Show went Calvinist on me. O.o Bzuh?

Not real keen on the bloodline thing. I mean, it's not a surprise; they've made enough references to the analogy. But to make it a literal bloodline? Bzuh?

Michael . . . the jury is still out on him. I'm pleased to say that I didn't dislike him when he showed up. I actually really liked his timing. But . . . we shall see. I'll have to think on it.

As a not-fan of Anna the Fallen Angel, I'm not sorry to see her go, but ouch! That was . . . extreme.

I did love the conversations between the boys and their parents. Though The Doctor would slap them silly for telling John and Mary their futures. "Spoilers!"

"I will turn this car around!" LOL!

But the most important thing? Jensen looked fine.

Jensen was awesome!
I'm sad Anna had to go :(
But i'm so glad they didn't make Michael a dick! Really he was awesome. All powerful but not arrogant and so sure about how things will play out - real good son of his Father.

Exactly! When he came into the room and introduced himself, I squeed just a little bit. :-) And he seems to actually respect the parties involved in the situation. I'll have a better idea what I think when I re-watch the download, after I've gotten past the whole predestination thing.

I don't even bother with predestination because it's clearly new Kripke's idea he'll be bored with in couple of eps :) No, honestly i'm trying to get used to enjoy the parts i can and ignore those i can't (esp all plot holes and anvils they have this season). But seeig Michael was so gerat and i didn't expect that level on acting from that actor and was pleasantly surprised.

Michael wiped their memories.

I must say, I loved Michael. I'd say yes. *snert*

Oh, yes. I know Michael wiped their memories. But the fact that the Boys were spilling all, I could just hear, in the back of my mind, The Doctor (and Doc Brown from Back to the Future) saying that it's not good for someone to know too much about their future.

Right now, I'm leaning toward liking Michael. "I won't leave you a drooling idiot, like my brothers" (or whatever the line was) definitely wins points with me. :-) And I like the way the actor played him. But I'll be able to say more after I watch the download.

Mostly I think what has me raising a skeptical brow is the whole predestination thing. We shall see.

Wasn't the bloodline thing already established in The Rapture with the Novaks? Or do you mean the Cain and Abel bit?

Jensen looked fine.
Does he ever not? Seriously, the boy can make even the most heinous outfit look good. I swear, it's a superpower.

Mostly the Cane and Abel bit. (I kinda just kinda went, "Meh. Whatever." back in The Rapture.) And I'll get into why the whole predestination thing irks me when I write my write-up.

I've seen Jensen in things that kind of make me cringe just a little, but you know? It just makes me love him. It means he's human. And while a lot of people around the 'Net complain about his fashion sense (*points to your linked pic as a prime example*) I'm more like, "WooHoo!!! He's an actual, real, living, breathing guy!" Because, see, I married a guy who doesn't have the most sophisticated fashion sense on the planet. Better than Jensen, in some ways, but still, he just wants to wear stuff he's comfortable in. Ya know?

So in that regard, the fact that he can wear stuff like that and make me like the fact that he's wearing it . . . yeah, that must be some sort of superpower. *nods*

Sorry about the tangent. Jensen's fine-ness will make me do that. You should know that by now.

Jensen's fine-ness will bring about world peace. Of this, I am certain.

I liked Michael, at least for right now, he doesn't come across as a dick.

Dean didn't want to tell Mary the truth, he tried not to, but like mother, like son, they just don't take people's words for it. That scene was so well-done. When Dean was telling her things that only he would know, the lullaby, etc. my heart was breaking and then when Mary was upset about raising her kids in this life, and Dean had to tell her she was dead...oh geez, major heartbreak! Major props to Jensen and Amy for an amazing job.

Oh yes, Jensen looked very good! There were a few times last night that I actually was like "oh my."

Exactly. My inclination is to like him. I had an inner squee moment when he showed up. We'll see how this plays out.

I loved both the scene between Mary and Dean, and between John and Sam. It was killing Dean to tell his mom what he was telling her, but in the back of my mind, I could just hear The Doctor scolding them about "spoilers" (reference "Silence in the Library"/"Forest of the Dead"). That was one of the scenes where I was just thinking, "Dang, Jensen. How are you so awesome?"

I'll also mention the time paradox of two Deans being in the same room, when I do my write-up.

There were a few times last night that I actually was like "oh my."

Precisely! You just have to stop and catch your breath and admire the beauty of him.

I'm very pleased with the direction they seem to be taking with Michael. The family/brother stuff is getting really on-the-nose in some of the dialogue, but I handwave that by figuring that the angels are communicating with humans and thus using the closest analogies. :)

Michael-in-John. So cool.

Oh, John and Sam. I just about fell apart there. Oh. And John will not remember it.

Castiel whump! :-D Aw, poor boy, I love how hardcore he is about doing what needs to be done...and then so surprised that he survived it. *pets him*

A very good ep all around, I thought.

I did my full-on ramble in a separate entry, which you've probably already seen, yeah?
