Random condiments (aka ketchup)
Mar. 7th, 2009 10:57 amJust a random catch-up.
Went to see Watchmen yesterday. It was pretty good. Pretty brutal, though. I was one of only three females that I counted in the theater. This movie is, I believe, fan!boy love. Glad I saw it in the theater. Once was enough.
In keeping with my 2009 goal of developing a new skill (the only of my goals I seem to be successful at, at the moment), I've tried my hand a crochet. I'm working on a project right now that takes two of the basic stitches. FYI, it's addictive. "Just one more row," and before I know it, three hours have passed. So if my LJ presence seems less than it was, that's why.
In order to stave off SPN withdrawal, I've been reviewing some of my DVDs. Also addictive. "I'll just watch this one scene. Oh, but this was a really good ep. Oh! And so was this one! And this one! Oh, and this one!" Trying to decide what of S4 I want to review between now and THURSDAYNEWSPNYAY!!!!
The weather is beautiful today! Geo wants me to help clear out the flower beds, so that's where I'll be going in a few minutes.
I read through and started beating out the script to the Good Friday drama I'm in. Started familiarizing myself with my monologue. It's going to feel really good to get back to scripts I can sink my teeth into. If you're interested in hearing about my drama activities (i.e., how I go about what I do), I'll share. I'm currently trying to draw on my previous experience playing this character to get back in the mindset. I also find I'm drawing on a little bit of the inspiration Jensen offers in the dramatic regard.
Also, Geo and I are getting involved in the formation of a new community theater group. Long story, but there is a desperate need for community theater here in Culpeper. And if I don't get back onto a stage and into a character soon, I'm gonna shrivel up and blow away.
That's about it for now.
