:-) Yes, I've talked about this extensive in the past, but that's okay. It's always fun to reminisce. So I'll just re-trace my infatuation with excerpts from previous entries. Should be fun!

Referring to happenings on Oct. 27, 2007:

Izhilzha introduced Geo and me to Supernatural. The pilot ep is really cool, and I knew Geo would like it. Turns out he likes the show a lot. More on that later. But SPN very much reminded me of The Lost Boys, so I introduced Sarah to cheesy-fun 80s horror starring a very young Keiffer Sutherland. SPN very much echoes Lost Boys--brother element, supernatural freakiness, great soundtrack, cool cars. I'd forgotten how fun the movie is. I used to go running at night with the soundtrack in my walkman. Very freaky.

From an entry dated Nov. 20, 2007:

My brain is being co-opted, shang-hied, and otherwise eaten by the Brothers Winchester, originally of Lawrence, KS. It's all izhilzha's fault, with her oh-so-capable accomplices Dean, and my own husband of all people!!!!

It's Jensen Ackles' fault, really. Well, Izhi's fault for introducing me, Geo's fault for providing the discs behind my back, and Mr. Ackle's fault for being such a freakin' talented actor. (I miss my theater peeps. Wah!!!!)

My problem is this: I only do one obsession at a time, and I'm not ready to leave LA and the Eppeses. But . . . ya know . . . Dean . . . the smile . . . the voice . . . the charm . . . the angst . . . Okay, so, I've never really gone for the "bad boy" type, not really, but dang!!! He reminds me of people I actually know, kinda. Especially some of his facial expressions.

What does it say that Izhi came to visit at the end of October, and by mid-November Geo and I have gone through S1 & S2 straight through, do not pass "Go," do not collect $200? That's just not right.

But dang!

Entry dated Dec. 13, 2007:

Just a reminder, this is all izhilzha's fault. Hers and Geo's. Hers and Geo's and Jensen Ackles'. She introduced me, he enabled me, Jensen enthralled me. Okay, Jared Padalecki is not blameless in the equation--not by a long shot--but thespically speaking, I lean a little toward Jensen. Totally their fault. I was minding my own business, enjoying my N3, living my life, when Sarah comes to visit less than 2 months ago, and introduces me to the Winchester Boys. Cool pilot ep. Entertaining. Geo would like it. So we watch the second ep of the series, but I insist that he check out the first ep (because it was better). At this point, I'm thinking, "Okay, cool. Good show, though I don't think I could take horror on a weekly basis. I prefer my horror in 2-hour cinematic doses during the appropriate season of the year. Actually I prefer spook movies to straight-up horror. But now I know who these characters are, and when Sarah starts on about Sam and Dean, I'm not completely in the dark." But then . . .

At some point during the Impala love and the hidden arsenal and the metal soundtrack, Geo says, "We have to get these discs."

I was doomed.

So he gets Season 1, which we rip through in short order, the finale of which left me yelling at the TV, "That's just cheating!!!" They left it in a horrible cliffhanger, you see. So I ask when we can get Season 2.

And he pulls Season 2 out of . . . I have no idea where he was hiding it, but he'd already bought it is the point.

So we rip through Season 2.

Then he downloads what's aired of Season 3 from iTunes. We were good and waited until after Thanksgiving to start in on that, but we went through those eps in short order as well. Which brings us to tonight.
