I'd like to know when during the course of the season Jensen signed on for SPN. It feels like they were developing something with that story line, then it got shoved aside, and then just kind of wrapped up really quickly. And . . . um . . . that last ep? Not particularly good material to work with. Jensen was wonderful as usual, but squashed by a meteor? It would have made more sense for him to die from the gunshot wound and the fall.
I have a feeling that there was some quick and desperate re-writing going on when they found out they were losing Jensen to another show.
Imo, Jensen definitely made the right choice in joining SPN.
