Fantastic!

If yesterday was any indication, the upcoming year should be a pretty good one.
Geo took me to BD's Mongolian BBQ for lunch for my b-day, where we met up with Cousin J, Mom & Dad, Bro & SIL, and Geo's Shop Owner friend and Wife. I love that restaurant . . . it's good food and watching the grill cooks cook with "swords" . . . great fun.
Afterwards, we went to Mom & Dad's, (Shop Owner and Wife did not come, but Mom-in-Law and Aunt J joined us) where we had cake and ice cream and I opened presents. Lots of Target gift cards, so I need to find a nice large store (not our Targette here in town) and go shopping! George made the cake, which came out very well; he was so impressed. :-) I had requested spice cake with cream cheese frosting, so that's what he made. And I understand why Geo wanted to put edible ball bearings on my cake--it would have become sort of a theme, because he gave the new Who season 2! It's got all sorts of nifty extras, including the "Children in Need" blurb/teaser. What a great little "missing scene." I even turned to Geo and told him that if this were fic, it'd be classified as a missing scene.
whitemartyr, if you're still mourning, you should see this. Or maybe you already have?
Billie Piper's video diary made me feel a little better about the complexion issues I've been having, too.
Also, it appears that the contact dermatitis I developed a couple years ago in reaction to a majority of the lipsticks out there might be gone. I got really brave yesterday and tried one of my favorite lip colors that I haven't worn in ages. So far, no reaction. Yippee!
And I ordered a new laptop. Hopefully it will be here within the week.
So all in all, it was a very good, low-key day.
