Garage sale and vanity plate

Well, day one of the garage sale went pretty well. Made almost $100. Geo was very surprised that anything sold, and I told him this is why, when my aunt needs extra money, she goes through the attic, puts a garage sale sign out, and just waits. I hope the rest of the weekend is as productive. I feel like all our good stuff is gone.

We actually had it in our little one-car garage. It was damp and chilly (the sun came out after we'd closed for the day, of course), but we had a kerosene heater going, and it wasn't too bad.

While I was out grocery shopping today, I saw a vanity plate that read DO MATH. Guess whom I immediately thought of. :-)

Charlie totally needs that plate. There's even a sort of weird double entendre there. (I'm sorry, I think Frannie came over to hang out after the Don-and-donuts comment.) :-)

Well, we made $100 our first day, but only about $25 yesterday--and that was because Geo's radio producer came over with her kids. It was too cold and wet today to open. The funny thing is that we still made $5; a woman came to the front door and wanted to see what books we had left.

You know, considering the direction you went with my comment about Don's needing a good therapist, Francesca is so staying at your place. I'm not going anywhere near that; you and Frannie can write that one. ;-)
