Well, that was a little bit of a let-down the first time through. I was hoping for more backstory.

The case was pretty darn interesting, though. And Geo recognized the name of the actress who played Eleanor/Betsy, who played the Bad Seed when she was a young actress (creeeeepppyyyyy in that movie she was). And watching Jensen and his dad snark at each other was rather amusing.

Oh! And I'm going to have to start keeping track of Dean's heart issues again, aren't I. We were up to, what, six instances of heart-related issues at last count? Also, I couldn't help but think, when Evil Chick told him she could show him his heart while it was still beating, "Been there, done that, lady. Dean was tortured in Hell. I'm sure Alistair did that one on more than one occasion."

And that final scene with Sam and Amelia--glaringly similar to Dean's dream of Lisa and the picnic.

This new Dean makes me wonder if he remembers anything about his hopes and dreams before. Though it's good to see him enthusiastic rather than resigned about the hunt now.

I'm tired right now, and if I don't sign off, I'm going to get snarky.

So, good night.

I agree- I was expecting something with a little more substance but now, knowing what to expect, I need to go back and watch it again.

Because it wasn't a *bad* episode, I was just disappointed because I was expecting more.

There was one part, and I can't for the life of me remember what it was- guuh. It was so hilarious!

And Jensen and his dad were perfection- I loved that part!!! And I gotta admit, I felt bad for Sam at the end- I could empathize. To have something that you've always wanted, to think that this is something you can have and then to have it taken away so suddenly. I can see why Sam would want to do anything to get it back.
