We have music!
Dean looks good. Fierce!fighter!Dean gives us much to appreciate.
However, this hardened attitude is going to take some getting used to. I hope his inner self hasn't changed completely.
And yes, a well-made burger is a treasure.
Sam. Oh, Sam. Dude. I . . . *sigh*
Kevin. You are a resourceful, clever kid, and I think I kinda love that about you.
Crowley. Are you this season's Big Bad? Is the show really going to be Oh, Crowley?
Baby. So good to see you back, even if you do smell like dog.
Dean did get to keep his leather jacket, yes?
The coloring on the title harkens back to S2.
Benny could be an intriguing character. But I sense that there will surely be some conflict down the line. Will he fall off the wagon? Is he even on the wagon? Is he going to stab Dean in the back? Or the neck?
This ep leaves me with some trepidation. Perhaps it's a matter of settling in to the new showrunner's vision. Perhaps it is the fear that Dean who cared about people is buried too firmly somewhere under the stain of Purgatory.
I am uneasy. I am nicely tense and alarmed.
But show is back! \o/
And as always Jensen looked fantastic.

Date: 2012-12-09 12:30 am (UTC)I think things are not completely as they seem with Sam. There must be more to the story than simply "I didn't look for you, I ran, I left Kevin high and dry, I left the life, I found a girl."
After a year of very different experiences, these aren't the guys we left last season, and they aren't the guys each other remembers.
But I talk a little about that in my next entry, and as the season has progressed, my thoughts have modified.
Yes, it does continue to be interesting. :-)
