SPN - 7.21
May. 4th, 2012 11:19 pmI'm going to have to re-watch this one to decide whether I liked it or not. The introduction of another God artifact and return of angels made me a little twitchy (can we please move beyond the whole "God left the building and didn't leave a forwarding address" routine?), but since the tablet was about the leviathans, I'm willing to go along with it.
Dean was in charge, leader of the group. *thumbs up*
Sam left the tablet unguarded. *facepalm*
Meg has her own agenda, with shifting allegiances. Appropriate for a demon.
I'm also thinking there might be a little bit of Lucifer bleeding through with Castiel.
I really liked seeing some of Cas's allies--the guy, (Enias?) and the others who took Kevin home. Very disappointed they got killed.
Will have to watch this one again to see if I actually like it. Admittedly, there seems to be a lot of stuff to dig into, like the multiple layers that were going on with the Sorry game.
Also, next week. Dudes! Did you see who's going to be on next week??? Alpha vamp! *shudder*

Overall, though, I think I really liked it. I liked seeing Dean and Sam each seeing their own issues in Kevin and Cas, respectively. I liked that we got a chance to breathe, to actually voice a lot of this internal junk that we've been keeping bottled up for so long.
I, too, am awfully tired of this "God has left the building" business, but I like Kevin an awful lot. I really doubt we're going to keep him around for very long - he has 'cannon fodder' stamped all over him - but at least we get more than one ep.
I like that Meg is helping us out for reasons that have nothing to do with our own goals. More reminder that the world doesn't revolve around the Winchesters all the time.

Date: 2012-05-05 09:09 pm (UTC)I am more and more convinced that either that's not Cas in there, or that's not just Cas in there. Not completely convinced it's Lucifer, though.
Hm . . .
Also, will Dean have to give up a bone to the fight? He's the only "righteous man" who's been designated as such in the show.

Date: 2012-05-06 02:42 am (UTC)And, hey, he's already broken his leg. Right?
I've heard rib suggested. That Cas can "borrow" one of Dean's ribs, then heal it/put it back after.
