Trimmed with ribbon from my wedding:

These remind me of my brother's christening cake, lo those many years ago:

The big one is mine (and not, I should point out, handmade):

Addams booties:

Psychedelic booties, for Baby's first Grateful Dead concert:

And a christening afghan. I used this pattern previously, and someone commented that it would make a good christening blanket pattern so I gave it a go. It measures MUCH more generously than I was expecting (I used a different yarn, but it was the same weight, so I'm not quite sure what happened, unless I stitched it more loosely than before), but I'm pleased with the way it turned out. I've got a pair of white booties from the same yarn that I'm going to trim with matching green ribbon.

If you know of anyone who'd be interested in any of these items, send 'em my way. These things are starting to pile up. :-)

Thanks.

No need to be intimidated. These patterns are quite easy. I purchased an electronic download of the bootie pattern, but the afghan pattern can be found on the Bernat yarn site.

Beautiful Baby Blanket (http://www.bernat.com/pattern.php?PID=2043&cps=21191)

I also made this pattern (http://www.lionbrand.com/patterns/825AD.html?noImages=) recently. It turned out nice and snuggly.
