These are of the view over our back fence. I particularly like the way the colors came out in this one. (These pics I've been posting are not retouched in any way. Just cropped when need be.)

Thanks! I kind of want to make an icon out of the one that has the mountain in the background (not hidden by the tree). But I'm not sure how well it will turn out.

What did you have in mind? I have a 30 day trial of Paintshop Pro I'm playing around with so making a pastoral icon would be good practice for me. Did you just want something cropped, or something fancier with text and a border (And I can't promise to deliver any other this succesfully as I'm still testing the waters of this program- but I could try)

I shoulda taken pictures when your folks visited my folks. I posted some about it, but have no piccies to go with it. I think your Dad took some pictures though. But that was a gorgemous day! Now has been very rainy and cold and YUK. I was having Polamalu hair yesterday, but today seems to have tamed down a bit.

If you want to play around, have at. I'm thinking a simple crop of the second picture, perhaps a bit of a color adjustment, but a cropping that brings out the mountain in the background a little more. Does that make sense?

I think I can work with that. I'll play around with it if I get a chance later tonight and send you a couple different options. I made part of the banner thingy on my latest post using this program and I think it turned out pretty smurfy. Well, the main part of Dean and Sam facing each other I pieced together using this program, but the background part and text I had to do in Photoshop. I don't know if it CAN'T be done in this other program... I just haven't figured that out yet. But a cropping and a mountain- I think I can handle that ;-)!
