Some random thinky thoughts from me, no particular order so they may not make sense: The djinn came after Dean in epi 1, the shapeshifter in epi 2 (where now I believe Sam did use the Dean and the baby as bait), the vamps in epi 5 (where Sam used him as bait) and now this goddess of truth (or something like that...I'd have to go look at the preview again) in the new episode. So I think there's something deeper going on here... Does Sam know the particulars? Does Samuel? Is it part of Samuel's mysterious phone call? Am I crazy? So many questions...
