A quick prediction

Methinks that tomorrow night's ep will be a step toward "solving" or "resolving" the mystery with Sam, at least in part. The way I'm reading the previews (which is not a given on the accuracy, since Previews Always Lie), Dean turns vamp, Grandpa Campbell wants to put him down. (Ooh! Or collect him and stash him with the djinn for whatever purposes he has.) Sam will thus have to make a decision: protect/save Dean, or fall in line with Samuel's plans. Given that Sam seems to view Dean as his conscience of sorts, this could play out either way. 1) He continues to recognize his need for Dean, ala EoMS; or 2) Dean's not there to balance him out and talk sense to him, so Sam is influenced by Grandpa's choices.

I'm inclined to think that Sam will side with Dean, thereby putting a wedge between him and the Campbells. But if the rest of the clan shows up . . . things could get interesting . . . .

Yeah. I agree that Sam may have some conflictions, but I'm looking for the following one, I think it's the following one, to get to the meat of the issue. I don't want to say too much more coz I don't know how spoiled you are. I don't know much more than what the general basics of the ep are about, but sounds angsty good!

You mean the Veritas ep? Yeah, I think that's going to be a MAJOR piece to the puzzle, information-wise. (At least, I hope.)

This ep will be more about testing Sam's loyalties, I think.

And I'm thinking if any Sam related issues come about, they're actually going to serve to make Dean even more suspicious and angst riddled. I am predicting the episode ending with a tense, tear brimming (but beautiful) close up of Dean's watery green green eyes. That or a close up of Sam looking (beautifully) more mysterious and enigmatic than ever.

I think more will come out about Sam in the episode after this one.

What I DO hope we get a bit more enlightenment about is what Grandpappy is up to. I have a suspicion and yet, some of my suspicion has been influenced by a fic I read. Not about Grandpappy but about someone else doing what I think Grandpappy is doing. Sorry for being vague but I don't know if my vague speculations count as spoilers of not.

I'm just kinda wishing it was Friday right about now... waaaaah....

Oh, I agree that Sam-information-wise, the next episode will probably be MAJOR. But I think this ep will show a testing of Sam's loyalties, if that makes sense.

And yes, I would very much like it to be Friday, but we won't be watching until Saturday (first thing in the morning, if I have my way).

I agree Sam will side with Dean. No matter how changed, he would protect him at all costs. This may indeed open the door to what the Campbells are doing.

Any idea when the ep about people telling the truth will air. I hope that gives us some answers.

The Veritas ep is next week, I think, if I remember the TVGuide.com listing correctly. That's when I think the MAJOR info will be disclosed, I hope.

Either way, I'm looking forward to both eps. \o/

I think 605 and following 606 will show me if i still want to watch this show. It can go 2 different ways and either make me interested or kill any joy that left. That saying i'm dreading both eps because with these writers... you know...

I know the show has been difficult for you to watch for a long time. (You still have joy left to kill when you watch?) I hope you haven't already decided to hate these eps and that you can look for good stuff, but otoh, if this gives you some sort of release--if these eps release the show's hold on you--that would be good, too.

What I find ironic is that as much as you hate that they're whitewashing Sam or whatever, there are Sam fans who hate that the show has become (according to them) All About Dean, and that Dean gets the lion's share of screen time and Sam has (according to them) been made a secondary character.

Between those two camps, the writers just can't win.

No i don't hate those eps (i didn't see them i can't hate what i didn't see) i'm dreading them. I'm not sure if i can talk spoilers here so i won't.

Haha, i've heard about that and it's funny because you can't have your pie and eat it. Sam fans wanted Sam to be a center of mystery of the show. But when you have it you can't show POV of that character because it'll ruin the mystery :)

As for the writers - oh, they can win. Actually those 2 camps of fans - it's their creation. To be precise it's Kripke's idea. He separated the boys and made one at first an asshole and then whitewashed it not giving any satisfaction the the half of fandom. And now they still keep the boys at odds making fans to choose the side. But there's a way to at least try and fix it - not whitewashed any of bad deeds but let the character to acknowledge them and atone them. Then they can *win* at least those who still believe in so-called bond. Why they chose not to do it i have no idea.
