Another good review

Another glowing review for Jensen in B:UtRH. (Warning: I haven't read the article in whole. I haven't been reading these things because though I've been spoiled, I want to keep it to a minimum. And now that it seems like the entire comic community has seen the movie, discussion seems to be no-holds-barred. Which is kind of a bummer, seeing as how the movie won't actually hit the streets until next week. Anyway . . . )

Most everyone seems to love Jensen's voice acting.

As far as the other voice actors go, let’s start with Jensen Ackles as the Red Hood. I thought he was AWESOME. He had that somber tone in his voice-that made you actually believe what he was saying.

This is straight to DVD right? I'm also assuming this is PG or PG-13 at the most? I'm just thinking this might be a good present for Godson who is both a ComicFanBoy and a SPNFanBoy (specifically a Dean!Boy that he is). May be a good rental for when we get together hopefully soon. I haven't seen the kid since... uhhhh.... it's been a while :-(!

Yep, it's straight to DVD, and it's a PG-13. In fact, one of the complaints I have seen is that it's not gory enough. The storyline is very brutal, as I'm sure you know. (This ain't Caesar Romero's Joker.) It's not a "kid's movie." But if the godson is into comics and he's old enough to handle it, I'd say check it out.

Yeah, the kid can handle PG-13. He's a pretty seasoned horror buff already and has posters of Leatherface and Mudvayne all over his wall and has seen Heath Ledger's Joker (also a poster on his wall) I think he can deal with it. If I get it and we watch it, I'm not going to tell him who's doing the voice of Red Hood and see if he figures it out :-)!
