Yeah, these were both tense episodes because of the ticking down of Dean's time and the Deadline looming. Plus the monsters of the week were extra creepy. The Long Distance Guy wriggling in ecstasy and saying "I'm killing your brother" the way I'd say "I'm eating chocolate" Wrong- so wrong. Poor Sam had a habit in these days of being taken by the baddie and forced to listen to their wicked plot. Baddies are so silly that way "Yes! I could kill you right here and now... but first let me tell you about my brilliant scheme! MA HA HA!" Still, it does make it handy for the hero to escape or else be rescued in the nick of time. Very good thing in the case of Time on my Side. Dr.SpareParts almost got the Puppy!Eyes! NOOOOOOO!

And you probably already know this, but Billy Drago who played Doc Benton is Ed Chigliak from Northern Exposure's daddy. Probably you knew that already from watching NE. I've never ever seen Mr. Drago play a goodguy. Hmm...

But DING! DONG! Bela's HellPuppy Chow! YAY! Her backstory while awful, does not redeem her. She made a deal to get out of a bad situation, and yet used her 10 years not helping anyone and instead being a thoughly awful person. I sometimes wonder if the Writer's Strike got in the way of her redemption... like maybe she would have done one good deed that would have put her in a slightly better light. But as it stands, she was beyond horrid.

Rufus? We need more Rufus! One thing that bugs me about this show is they will introduce an awesome character and then either kill them off instantly or underuse them. So, more Rufus please Show!!
