Congratulations to Team Canada. Gold on home ice, and an exciting game for everyone involved.

I'm disappointed Team USA lost, of course, but to see Canada win on home ice makes me smile.

And knowing that various members of the opposing teams are teammates in their real job and real life kind of made it feel like a family game. But that's probably just me.

(Olympics: the only time I make an effort to watch hockey.)

I'm bummed the USA lost, but it was exciting, and I'm sure the US team gave everyone in Canada heart palpitations when they scored with less than 30 seconds left in the game to tie it up and send it to overtime.

If anyone had to score the goal to beat the USA, I'm glad it was Sidney Crosby, who plays for the NHL team I root for (the Pittsburgh Penguins).

I was pleased to hear the reception that Team USA's Kessler (?) got during the medal ceremony. Since he plays for the Vancouver Canucks in RL, I imagine he had Canadian fans in the stands.

And, yeah, that goal at the end of the 3rd period was very surprising and exciting!

I've actually been to a hockey game. I wasn't always sure of what was going on, as far as penalties and such, but it was fast moving and much fun. Lots of manly grunting. (-;

I'm sure the boyz will be harassed about this lose on set tomorrow. I hear they gave the crew much grief when team USA beat them earlier.

So did you ever get to check out the curling?

I didn't get to watch any of the curling during the Olympics, and that is one sport I'd like to see what it's all about and what the challenges are. Because really? It seems a little silly. But it might be fascinating! I want to know more!

No, I never did go over, but they really do promote the Curling Club here on campus, so who knows....
