Why is it so many people don't know the lyrics to "Eye of the Tiger"?

*sigh* I know. But usually, misheard lyrics are hilarious rather than just . . . frustrating.

You've read the book 'Scuse Me While I Kiss This Guy? It's got some hilarious misheard lyrics. They don't make sense, but usually they're entire phrases that are misheard. Your examples are excellent in that regard. With EotT, it's just the one word, thrill.

Though I'm sure Dean, as a pre-teen, has once or twice sung the misheard lyric to CCR: "There's a bathroom on the right." Or maybe it was Sammy, and Dean thought it was sacrilege. Anyway . . .

Half the lyrics sites online have it wrong, I'm sure that doesn't help.
