The Eagles as Gospel Music (or, I think we might have found a church)

So we returned yesterday to the church we visited last week. As I think I mentioned, it's the most like home that we've experienced to date. But the thing that tickled me most about yesterdays music?

Singing "Amazing Grace" to the tune of "Peaceful, Easy Feeling." And you know what?

It totally works.

With the chorus modified just a bit to:

I've got a peaceful, easy feeling
And I know He won't let me down
Because I'm already standing
On solid ground.

The rest? The real "Amazing Grace" lyrics? Fit perfectly.

Things like this just tickle me to no end.
