A Requiem . . . how appropriate . . .
Jun. 27th, 2007 11:09 pmAnother door closed. Tonight was my last event at the PAC. How appropriate that it was a requiem, Ein Deutsches Requiem, by Brahms. It came and went fairly quickly. Before the show, I hung out in the tech office a bit with "Mack" and some of the students, which was fun.
As usual right before opening the house, I was waiting for the go, and as I was helping one of the guys who was singing with his cuff link, Tech Director came up and said he had something important to say. "This is the last time I'll say this . . . the house is yours."
Leaving tonight was the hardest, though. I said good-bye to the two gals who work custodial during shows. They're great to work with, and just great in general. And part of me would really have liked to have gone out for drinks or something with the remaining tech crew after, like going out after closing night. But they were still taking down the accoustic shell when I left.
I called Geo on the way home. I really, really wish he'd been here for me to come home to. I didn't cry, but it was pretty close.
This is so hard . . .
