SPN - 5.04 - pre-cogitation
Oct. 1st, 2009 09:58 pmUuuhhhhhhh . . . I don't even know where to start.
I . . . I . . .
This was a very good ep. I . . . am not sure "enjoy" is the right word. It was intense. It was nerve-racking. It was kinda scary and sad.
And I mourn the lack of brother!hugging.
But Jensen pretty much rocked. He made present!Dean our Dean, and future!Dean was really scary. Future!Dean was a completely different character. There was no present!Dean left in future!Dean. It was scary. And sad. And . . . I'll try to explain more when I'm more coherent. It was just pretty awesome in regards to the acting.
Can we please bring Lexa Doig in as a guest hunter in our present timeline, pretty please?
And you know how last season there were so many Sam!girls clamoring for evil!Sam? Well, here he is. Well, not Sam, of course, but Jared playing Lucifer. And killing Dean.
Not sure if Lucifer's story came from Milton, but it was indeed kinda screwy. If they decide to indeed use it as Lucifer's actual backstory (as opposed to a deception or twisting of events), I . . . will be displeased.
Yay for Dean for not falling for it.
Castiel, listen to Dean. Don't ever change.
And interestingly enough, I figured this would be the ep that convinced Dean what bad results splitting up would garner. Said it back when they first decided to separate.
I know there is much more to say, but I shall reserve it for my long and rambly. Because right now I'm still trying to wrap my brain around the intense and the nerve-racking and the Dean(s) and the *guh* . . .
This ep has just kinda left me winded.
Geo laughed out loud at the preview for next week.

Date: 2009-10-03 04:14 am (UTC)So it remains to be seen. Because if this backstory is where Kripke & Co. are going, that has far-reaching implications that would bring Show and me to a parting of the ways.
Except for Jensen, dangit. I would probably still watch for him.
